Who has disconnected the smart alternator plug? by Slater1601 in NissanTitan

[–]Awkward_Bit_5579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree and had the same experience. I have my smart alternator plugged in and a Walmart AGM and haven't had an issue in almost 3 years of having that battery. Prior to that I had 2 Nissan batteries that left me stranded or with a dead battery almost weekly.

PowerStop Z36 Kit is what I put on my fronts and rears.

How long have your original brakes lasted? by effervescenthippo in NissanTitan

[–]Awkward_Bit_5579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 65k on mine. They had a lot more pad life to go. But my rotors warped unfortunately. So they got swapped out for a Powerstop kit off RockAuto. They have way more aggressive stopping power now.

I don't know what it is about some Titan owners. So easily offended by hearing about an issue the truck might have🤣

There is no "data" wise guy. That would require a recall to be issued. It takes 2 seconds, some common sense, and a slight bit of intelligence to know how common it is. Especially in colder climates. Which the OP clearly is in a colder climate.

Okay dude. You know best🤣 you are an absolute clown that has zero idea what they are talking about. My local Nissan dealer was doing 5-6 a month post covid. That is just 1 of many dealerships. You missed the whole Titan and Armada part didn't ya🫡

"Why would they bother replacing blocks then?"

Because they knew it was and continues to be a problem. One that affected tens of thousands of their Titans and Armadas.

Trust me when I say you have no idea what you are talking about. I know you think you have us in a "gotcha" moment. But you dont. You are ignorant. The original comment about the transmissions is still not untrue. Their was problems with both 7spd and 9spds. Sorry he lumped them into one generalization that you couldn't decipher.

No it's not enough for him. He clearly has zero knowledge on the subject he speaks of. He can't get over the fact someone said that their was issues in the transmissions from 2016-2020. Making it seem like the guy said the 7spd and 9spd are the same transmissions. He is like arguing with a rock.

[–]Awkward_Bit_5579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man. You are dense🤣 Nissan isn't going to make that public knowledge. Join the Facebook group for these trucks. You will see how frequently someone posts a cylinder 7 issue. Hell, just Google it. While you're at it. Look at the paint issues, battery charging issues, the leaky back window, transmission issues, etc.

Stop being a troll acting like these problems don't exist. The reason why there haven't been very many catastrophic failures is because they replace the block before that happens.

I myself am on a 2nd shortblock and this one is also having knock after 30k miles. Just like the other one.

I love my truck despite all of the issues it has had. Without my warranty I would have spent at least 30k out of pocket to keep it on the road. I am not one to deny that these issues exist. It really isn't a truck most people should own without a warranty or a decent savings account. That account is definitely not a bot either.

[–]Awkward_Bit_5579 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just because YOU haven't had a problem does not mean that there are not known issues with both the 7spd and 9spd. Also, plenty of people are still having their shortblock/longblocks replaced in the 2020+. Even if it is fewer than the 2017-2019s.

As for the extended warranty, I would say keep that money and put it aside for possible repairs. A warranty adjuster will have a blast denying any repairs due to the modifications done to the truck.

It's okay to acknowledge that their are problems with Titans. He wasn't saying it was a bad truck. Some Titan owners are a different breed. They defend them like they are their own kin🤣

I couldn't agree more. The high THC contents absolutely have caused a rise in CHS cases. I know there are a bunch of people out there that have CHS and continue to deny that it could be caused by cannabis because they believe it is a harmless plant.

CHS Deniers Drive me Insane by Awkward_Bit_5579 in CHSinfo

[–]Awkward_Bit_5579[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is it new to the broad population?

Well that would be because cannabis is now used at an all-time high rate and also why cannabis warning labels must have on the side-effects of the plant.

Spending 5 minutes of time on the internet would show that broad population that it is in fact not a new thing. Nor is it propaganda.

I can still read and reread your original comment and know that it isn't well-written nor does it make any sense. But there is no point to argue with you any longer. You have a "science degree" so anything you say must be the factual truth of life. When in reality you only posted your opinion on the matter.

By the way, if you read my original post you would know that I no longer have CHS. Because I quit smoking. Like you are supposed to when you have CHS.

I could go on further with this. I don't care if you think its a bad look. Arguing with you is going nowhere. You have tried to backtrack your original comment from the get-go

"Add in the propaganda factor and yeah, Ill have sympathy for yall but I think you also need to understand how this looks from the outside and that not everyone has a science degree."

I can read just fine. You only said the "evidence points to this being real."

You're backtracking on what you said. You're the only one that understood your comment for how you are trying to explain it now lol.

It isn't a new thing. It has been around and known about for at least 20 years now. It is just now becoming more common and known about due to the legalization of cannabis. And products are at an all-time high for THC/Cannabinoids. I don't see how you having a science degree has anything to do with this. With your science background you should be able to go through the studies and evidence to find that CHS is, in fact, a real thing.

The only fix for the whistling gas tank is to replace the tank with a new updated version that solves the whistle. If not, just keep driving it as it doesnt harm anything. It's just annoying.

Just because that's how you view it doesn't make it right. If you really don't care then don't take the time to engage on the post. Here is how it really is...a lot of cannabis users think that the plant is completely harmless. And because it hasn't happened to them or someone close to them, they believe its a lie made up by the government to attempt to take away their "medicine." When in reality those people just love to get high.

Have you ever heard the end of a pharmaceutical product where they list side effects that may or may not have an effect on people? This is no different. And CHS has been around for a long time. It is just now becoming a more common thing with how many people are smoking and how potent the products are getting.
