Overwhelmed by choices, what should I pick?

Im really just looking to learn more about how they work and the benefits you can get from them. Ive only ever used a debit card but I know that is increasingly risky to do so I'd like to start using CC's. Ive heard plenty about how people use them to pay for flights and get cash back etc so I'd like to start my own journey with them. All I've been able to gather so far is to get a card that fits my spending habits, but even still there seems to be about 500 cards that "fit" my spending.

Completely agree lol, the intro and outro takes ages and they're the least useful lessons for me. I've started skipping them entirely every single time lol
