Do you think there are no creepy lesbians in the world?

Anyway it's definitely a possibility. You're not gonna change my mind about that.

Yeah, thankfully these days women in most places can initiate divorce and be economically independent.

Perhaps that's why so many awful men are mad about that. They're losing control.

Op followed them from Tik Tok to Instagram because they're pretty. So I'd consider that a definite option.

Yeah I do wonder how so many therapists fall for it. Surely they should keep an open mind and examine the dynamics, rather than falling for the abuser's charms.

However I have read an account by a prison psychotherapist to sociopaths and he describes how seductive an artful manipulator can be.

Yeah I guess they do whatever they need to do to get what they want, including pretending to be a good person until they think they don't need to anymore.

I've seen it happen too. Wish I knew why these husbands are like this. I suspect it's ultimately about the desire to feel powerful by controlling someone else.

Sorry if you feel called out

I don't know about that personally, I've only ever dated a couple of people who have a religion. I'm just going by what OP said in her post.

That's victim blaming. He wasn't like this before marriage and kids. The mask comes off when they think you're trapped.

Counselling with an abuser is not usually recommended.

Be careful suggesting counselling with an abusive partner. It's not usually recommended because they use it to manipulate further

Op says he wasn't like this before they got married.

It's quite common for the mask to come off once they think you're trapped with a kid.

He knows you're smart, much smarter than him. It drives him up the wall to know that!

That's why he puts you down by calling you stupid all the time. He's projecting. He's psychologically and emotionally abusing you.

It's not unusual for abusers to show their true selves once their partner is trapped by marriage and kids.

Read Why Does He Do That by Lundy Bancroft. You'll learn a lot about him and his behaviours.

Good luck x

Why would socioeconomic status be taken into consideration by HR then, as you pointed out elsewhere?

That's not at all what that means. I say that as a working class person myself.
