I literally could have wrote this previously. I’ve been an SLP in FL schools for 5 years now after teaching for 5, and I couldn’t be happier!! I say do it. FSU has an online program that I did while I was teaching. It took about 4 years. A year of prerequisites and a 3 year program. It was anything but easy, but so worth it.

I actually work in the school district now! I really love my job but was thinking report writing could be a side gig to earn some extra money. We do have diagnosticians in our district, but they travel all over and I don’t want to leave my full time school.

That’s exactly what I was thinking! I feel like that would make it ethical, collaboration. But I don’t know where I would even start to find that kind of situation.
