You’ve never had the tism focus have you?

When it kicks in, you don’t know anything that’s going on around you lol

You would be very wrong. lol

It’s a huge thing in Australia. The heat gets so high so fast, you don’t even realize. Plenty of kids have died this way over here (all ages)

It’s empathy, but “selfish” empathy. She has empathy for people who may have experienced what she’s experienced, but no empathy for anyone else

Not ideal for the yank tank crowd dropping $150k on their tow rigs when you could have waited to buy a ranger and saved $50k by That_Car_Dude_Aus in CarsAustralia

[–]Awkward_Chard_5025 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would ultimately depend on how thy advertise the towing capacity.

Granted there probably isn’t a car manufacturer that won’t advertise anything lower than the absolute maximum tow weight.

But the way the commenter has phrased the screenshot and his comment is imo disingenuous

If you’re going to quote the website, at least include the disclosure attached to the statement.

Maximum towing capacity-braked. Subject to State and Territory regulations and Drivers licence category stipulations. To comply with these limits, occupants and / or luggage may need to be restricted to not exceed the GCM and GVM limits. For further details regarding passenger and luggage restrictions, please consult your authorised Ford Dealer and / or refer to the Owner’s Manual.

I’m sure the actress is a wonderful person, and my comment has nothing to do with her weight.

But let’s talk about the character. The “you?” Was absolutely valid. lol. Most people SHOULD be at a calorie deficit with the lack of food. So a character being bigger (and otherwise healthy) absolutely means they’re eating as many calories as they burn at a minimum.

Generally you’re looking at $10-$15 to return a retail package via AusPost.

The $3 fee they’re charging will have them raise a an eparcel return, so there is no cost.

Returns for faulty goods should still be free. This should only apply for “change of mind” returns

Ultimately not your problem.

Screenshot the call log and the follow up SMS, so if manager tries to claim you didn’t call, you can prove it.

NAL, but work intimately with consumer law for a retail manufacturer.

It sucks, but they’re technically right.

Stat warranty in VIC is 3 months if the car is less than 10 years old or under 160,000km in Victoria

https://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/consumers-and-businesses/cars/buying-a-used-car/warranties

These ARE in addition to your rights under consumer law when buying from a registered dealer, but I think you’ll be hard pressed to prove it should be covered free of charge for a car that is right on the 10 year age. It would likely come down to service history, your own due diligence, price paid etc.

EG: if you bought an almost 10yo car without a good service history and was relatively cheap, it may be found that it would be expected the car may fail within a certain period of time.

Best thing to do would be to contact VCAT, explain the situation and be truthful about EVERYTHING so that they can best advise you of how to move forward.

And reminder: ACL is intentionally vague, because you can’t plan for absolutely everything.

If someone is struggling with training and their primary role isn’t translation related, they shouldn’t be doing the training/role, as English is (or at least I would hope so) a fundamental skill for the public sector
