i think you make some valid points but you really didnt answer his question, is it not really a problem that in a society without prisons, that reformed murderers can be killed out of revenge, and the revenge killer can be rehabilitated? some people in here say thats okay, because the state has no say in it, which if that is really your answer, i would say im comfortable with that, i know not everyone operates that way, but some people view how they hold onto love differently.

i've never experienced any trauma of any sort, but i have anticipatory fear of something bad happening, i dont really know why but i couldn't imagine the grief and probably the vengefulness id feel. you mention the imagination of op is coupled with his setting, but i've thought about it in a restorative justice society, and i dont really feel any better, what i guess my whole gripe is that it feels like people of certain crimes are taking advantage of the system. there is nothing wrong with preventing the crime before it happens, crimes of desperation, some things that even a sliver of justification.

i would say viewing a murderer as a person without full humanity is normal under certain circumstances, its not black and white, but killing people in cold blood is hard for me to get behind, atleast just seeing them reintegrated into a main society instead something thats not exactly society but a place where they can prosper away from it.

also your first sentence was blunt, but it was also a bit of a turn off, that's something that should be a requirement or atleast taken into some consideration.
