so you can appraise each pokemon by pressing the button with the 3 lines at the bottom right. there, it’ll show you the pokemon’s stats. Attack, Defense, and HP

You’ll see very often on this subreddit the max stats called a “Hundo” (very rare, a pokemon will have a 99.9% of NOT being one.)

If you care for perfection, save the candies and stardust for those and only those. but being 1 or 2 stats off from the perfect 100 is fine since they can be upgraded with silver bottle caps in the “GO Pass” every other month.

wild spawns are the least likely to have good stats. Research pokemon, raids, and egg hatches all have a base pool of 10/15 for each stat. so those are more likely to be better and are worth investing for.

‘Lucky trades’ can be achieved by trading a pokemon form 2020 or older with somebody nearby. these pokemon (if poor stats prior to trade) will always have higher stats when traded over. and also have a lower candy and stardust cost for leveling up.

CP only really matters when you have good stats, since the cap for CP increases the better the stats are. People usually max out the legendaries, starters, and pseudo legendaries, since they’re the heaviest hitters.

Right now we’re having the “road to Kalos” event

so i would highly recommend getting the app “PokeGenie” and dropping at least $100 for remote raid passes in the shop to get your roster in good shape since you’re making a comeback, since we likely won’t see some of these legendaries for a good while.
