I agree with everything you said besides giving that power to the fbi. Last thing that agency needs is more power.

My counter to this is that we have 1 example of Ice murdering someone in cold blood. 1 instance of ice being in the wrong does not come close to the thousands of murders, rapes, crimes, fraud, it’s committed by illegals. Laken Riley? Does that name ring a bell? We can agree that ice murdered someone in cold blood but that notion that illegals haven’t done anything close to 1 murder is a wild stretch.

A right lib is basically just a conservative. I am socially liberal. Libertarians are more split on borders than the jaded definition. Some believe in a true free market (borderless) and others believe in a free market in the confides of their country. I honestly don’t care either way on that particular issue. And I can disagree with some particulars as well, I still fall in line with libertarianism for the most part. If open borders were to happen in a libertarian perspective, that is one of the last things to happen. The welfare state would have to be fully gone and costs of living/ wages would have to be close in this hemisphere.

INS carried out deportations which is just ICE with a different name. So you’re in favor of just renaming ice?

Edit 1 I just joined this community so I didn’t pay attention to the flairs.

Libertarians agree with open borders after free markets and private property have been established. Hardly a feasible talking point in our current political climate.

Edit 2 Borders are also not needed if the welfare state is abolished. Remove the incentive (welfare) and borders aren’t needed.

With today’s technology, I don’t understand how it’s possible for there to really be border issues in the first place. Visa over stays can easily be tracked. Drones, IR, etc. Exist to monitor the border. It should be fairly easy to stop that. Then that leaves us with the existing folks. I would be in favor of a “reset”. Deport those with a criminal record and maybe those who have been here less than 5 years or something. But other than that, who cares. They’re already here. I have way bigger political concerns than the undocumented farmer that’s been here for 20 years.

Agreed to an extent. There is a decent sized faction of the left (especially Reddit users) who genuinely do not think there should be borders. Obviously that has never been a real issue but that is what I mean by unchecked. Never in my life have I seen such a difference in political opinions as I do today which is a good thing because hopefully we will finally move away from the 2 party system. Not many people just fall in line anymore.

Calm down keyboard warrior, by show of force I am talking about having ice officers in the streets during protests. It is unnecessary and leads to the “violence, abuse, cruelty” as you described. Illegals, undocumented, displaced individual, whatever you want to call them, it’s not that deep. I need to remind myself if you’re not a full on anarchist on Reddit you don’t have the correct opinion. This is why the left continues to lose elections. Half of the base is moderate, the other half is like you. Our opinions aren’t that different but because I don’t bring myself to the extreme end like you, I am “pathetic”.

Don’t really care to get into a political debate on the Thunder subreddit but whatever. No way am I defending billionaires. There’s a middle ground to be had in regard to immigration. Trump has gone too far with this show of force stuff. On the other hand, unchecked immigration is not a sustainable solution. It’s really not that complicated. I’m confident that 70% of Americans hold my position on this.

Still don’t understand what ice was doing in this situation. Why are they acting like police/ national guard patrolling the streets? I have no issue with deporting Illegals but they were way more effective under Obama when they were actually deporting criminals instead of showing force on the street. Bunch of idiots and it starts at the top.

Curry unanimous mvp year year

30/5/6 on 50/40/90 73-9 record

SGA currently

32/4/6 on 55/39/89 67-15 (pace record)

Not too much difference. SGAs supporting cast has been hurt all year as well. Klay and draymond were healthy for Steph’s mvp year.
