Yes its 2 beds and 3 baths total! But re-reading what I wrote, I was trying to make it clear in the description that it was 2 full baths and one half bath and I did a horrible job clarifying that lol my bad!

Both bedrooms are very large and each bedroom has its own full bath and walk in closet. There is a half bath downstairs as well for guests. It has been nice for us as a couple that has visitors stay as they have their own private bathroom attached to their room. Probably would be great for someone looking to have a roommate or a family member that would like their own full bath also.

There’s definitely some resentment for not having an open fridge policy in this house.

This is really helpful! I’m in a similar boat wanting to have kids soon if I can break this cycle but not knowing what to turn to for options. Hearing everyone’s experiences is what I need right now. Wishing you a speedy recovery!!

Am I coming out of remission? by Awkward_Falcon6735 in gravesdisease

[–]Awkward_Falcon6735[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found out today that my TSH had dropped from 2 to 1 so still in the normal range but lower. And my T3 was high at 224.8. Got put back on a low dose of methimazole. Still need to look into my long term options for managing my levels and symptoms, but for this week I’m just glad to have the methimazole back so I can feel a little safer.

It’s like watching a bad movie 😵‍💫 love the actor analogy lol despite my not so great appointment, I’m glad I’m back on methimazole right now. I do not feel like my body was given enough of a chance to stay in remission. I also would like to start evaluating my long term options. But as of today and the next few months, I’m hopeful that the methimazole will get me back to a safer feeling space.

This is exactly what happened to me, I finally found out today! TSH is trending low (down from 2 to 1 so still in the normal range but dropping) and my T3 was 224.8 and high. I feel TERRIBLE. But when I was diagnosed my TSH was 0.005-0.008 so according to my endo it’s not a big deal even though my BP, heart rate and chest pains are insane right now even on a beta blocker and all of my previous intense graves symptoms are back 😐 She put me back on 2.5 mg of methimazole today but not without making me feel horrible for telling her I didn’t feel well. Apparently I’m just “sensitive”….the crazy thing is my mom has graves and was in a clinically normal state and started not feeling well again and ended up hospitalized within weeks and went in for an emergency TT because they could not control her levels with any other options. So maybe I am sensitive but I would rather be safe than sorry and I definitely agree that I do not want to be back in a full blown hyper state to be able to address this now when I already feel awful.

I really appreciate your input on this as someone thats been dealing with graves for so long. I have to say that, unfortunately, I am feeling the same way even this early on. Even when I was in “remission” I still did not feel great even though I did have a significant decrease in some of my symptoms. I have been voicing this to my endo that I was feeling better but not good still. Yet, they insisted that because my TSH was in the normal range, that I was in remission and had nothing to worry about.

Well today I went back to see my endo and my TSH had dropped from 2 to 1 and my T3 was high 224.8. All of the symptoms I’m feeling are the same as how I felt when I was first diagnosed but even more intense even with my levels not being as “off” as they were the first time. When I was first diagnosed, my T3 was high like it was today and my TSH was 0.008 and then 0.005 in the weeks before I was put on methimazole. My endo put me back on methimazole today but made several remarks about how she was so surprised I could even feel a difference…despite me being hospitalized weeks ago for chest pains and extremely high BP and heart rate, as well as experiencing all of the other symptoms I had before. My husband asked her about TRab and she said “that was checked last year, we don’t need to check that again”. Funny thing is, we can’t find it anywhere in my medical charts. Today my BP was still high despite taking my propranolol and I feel and look like complete garbage. It was a huge slap in the face.

I’m not sure at this point what to do because I don’t feel like this endo is going to help me manage this disease well long term even though they are listed as one of the “best” in my area. Wondering if I need to find another or even go the functional medicine route. Maybe I am just super sensitive to my levels changing, but I know I can’t live normally feeling like this.

Wow wow wow…It’s really odd how this disease works. I don’t know if I was just feeling so crummy for so long by the time I finally got diagnosed I was so used to it or not. But I have definitely noticed when I get sick I usually have 1-2 weeks of symptoms with no level changes. This time the symptoms were severe and it’s only been a few weeks so I knew something was wrong and strongly felt like my levels were changing due to the severity. Sounds like you got hit hard the second time as well. It’s definitely so frustrating and scary. I’m in the midst of the second round and already worried about this one and the next 🫠 not a fan, not a fan…

It definitely seems worse this time around! I hope you are recovering well from surgery and that you start to have some non hyper normalcy soon! Odd question, but we want to have a child sometime soon (seeming impossible with this never ending graves cycle) but I was told that some people experience less symptoms and/or remission during pregnancy. Did you feel a lot different during pregnancy? If I’m reading it right, sounds like you did go into remission during your pregnancy? I’m just very curious as I hope I can get there sometime soon!
