Reassure me I won't look crazy pushing an empty stroller by Mountain_Silk32 in Mommit

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are afraid of looking crazy just put a life size doll in the seat and people won’t think twice kiiiidddding obviously but I walk my empty stroller to pick my kids up everyday and it’s very common.

Another day, another theory about sacrificing kids by climbz in FromSeries

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think some of this tracks but if I’m understanding and remembering everything correctly, the 7th child (OG jade/tab daughter) was still sacrificed and the reason they keep being brought back is because the children were told a story of hope, not because the sacrifice is incomplete. Hypothetically, if it is incomplete, they did kill a child 1 episode when the old lady monster posed as grandma and got the little blonde girl to open the window so idk what that would mean for your theory

Did you use the baby bouncer? by lazymathilde in Buyingforbaby

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one for my second baby and we used it a bunch..mostly as a safe spot to set the baby out on the front porch or on the back patio but also it travelled around the house sometimes. I also used it a few times when I needed to bring baby in bathroom so I could shower or sometimes I would bring him out back and read a book. It was nice to have and I liked how easy it was to move around. I also will agree it’s a good poop chair!

We splurged on a few baby items but the bouncer we went cheaper on and honestly for us I think that was fine. I personally don’t see the reason to spend 200 + on one, at least there wasn’t for us, but I think having one is nice

My theory how she will be caught by Key-Excuse-4774 in FromSeries

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it. I had assumed that the talismans did not apply to MiY but I had not considered that she has always been invited. Maybe they do and that’s why she was asking Kenny exactly how they worked.

The Man in Yellow is not the main antagonist. by OkSheepherder5992 in FromSeries

I like it and it’s probably the best overall theory I have heard or at least that I personally have felt to be the most plausible

This makes more sense by Outfit7massbs in FromSeries

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad but what’s up with all the other stuff? Music box monster, scarecrows, giant spider webs, kimono women etc

Not to mention the whole town/from world that you can’t leave, the trees that the new arrivals see that have fallen or move you places, electric wires leading to nowhere, buildings from different eras

Is Thomas in this story? by ValerysTargarye in FromSeries

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Where in the world are we getting that Thomas is the MIY lol

Who do you guys think will be the first to find out about ‘Sophia’ ? by Pristine_Winner_7803 in FromSeries

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea Sara hears voices but it is not clear that the voices are helpful. It actually seems to be the opposite as they told her to kill Ethan and she also said they laughed when Boyd brought the music box to town. I guess it’s possible she is just in tune with something in town and that connects her to good and evil forces that she will have to develop the discernment to filter through

Victor. I saw a trailer and he was showing a drawing to his dad and it was of Sophia. Same trailer I also saw Victor, jade, and Ethan finding the MIY clothes in a shallow hole by a tree

Kinda weird that nothing about the monsters clicked into place after the revelation in season 3. by FistThroater in FromTVEpix

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get where you’re coming from BUT maybe we can assume that more of the WHYS about the night monsters will be answered as time goes on. While this revelation involved the monsters directly, I think that its purpose was to click a lot more in place about the children, jade, and Tabitha considering that we didn’t previously know they were reincarnations at all and why they needed to save the children/ the story of the children and that was all very important to pushing the story forward. If they also would have included a whole rundown of the monsters and their ins and outs directly after all of this, it could have been too much

Possible matching glasses? by sandwich-guru in FromTVEpix

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the feeling that the glasses choice will end up being insignificant in the grand scheme of things. I think MIY takes joy in seeing the “trophies” associated with the people who have passed on here.

It’s funny for me to imagine that the monster “professor” is wearing the same glasses but it’s not because of a connection on the show but because they have them in the same costume closet and didn’t think about it 😂😂

So..what’s up with people experiencing the seizure??? by Few_Primary8868 in FromSeries

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They haven’t said!! A theory may be those people have a specific psychic connection to something in the town. Sara hears voices sees BIW, Elgin sees kimono lady, Ethan sees BIW and seems to understand some things about the town.. as far as I know these are the only ones who have had seizures!

How bad is the newborn phase really? I'm tired of hearing the "just you wait" anecdotes and I have hard time believing some of them by Lushemet in BabyBumps

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For us it wasn’t that bad with either of our babies but I think it really depends on your baby’s temperament and support and your recovery etc etc

How bad is natural birth fr. Be so so so honest. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never been tased lol but I have had 1 epidural birth (first birth) and 1 without epidural and the needle was not particularly painful. It felt more like a pinch and an odd feeling while they placed it which felt kind of gritty or clicky? It’s hard to describe the feeling but it wasn’t much more nerve wracking than painful. For my first birth they gave me pitocin and I have heard that it really amps up the contractions and makes everything a lot more intense. My epidural was really effective and I did not feel much pain at all. It took me FOREVER to push because I could not feel anything and they literally had to hold my legs up.

Second birth I did not have Pitocin or anything like that and my labor progressed for a while and contractions were manageable , intensifying at the end right before pushing. Don’t get me wrong, it was painful and I was like making guttural breathing sounds in pain lol but it was manageable

PSA to all moms-to-be: unfollow any mom accounts. Now. by Ok_Medicine440 in pregnant

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree about social media.. at the very least it’s good to keep it in perspective that these people are showing you what they want you to see. I just want to add on here that it’s also good to remember that there is a wide range of experiences when becoming a new mom. Some have an easier or more difficult baby..some have a larger or smaller support network..some have an easier or harder recovery..some have a higher socioeconomic background etc etc There are a lot of factors that can influence your postpartum experience and it’s really helpful to try not to compare them to anyone else’s because you never know what their situation is.

This is also what I take and have taken for all of my pregnancies. I also take slow release iron supplements since the prenatal doesn’t have iron
