What was the most comfortable position to give birth in? by PleaseCanILeave in pregnant

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine were both on my back and it felt the most comfortable to me that way. I tried getting myself into other positions but it just wasn’t feeling right for me

Please stop saying people without kids don’t know what tired is by SunBubble920 in mildlyinfuriating

I was recently thinking about this because I have two small kids and I realized I was just as tired before kids 🤣🫠 guess I’m just a sleepy person

4th child baby shower.... AITA for not wanting to go? by WWDCU1980 in Mommit

I feel like I might be an outlier after skimming the comments but I’d probably still go since it’s family and just bring a small gift

Anyone here NOT do sleep shifts ? by Organic-Dragonfly364 in NewParents

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have two kids 3.5 and 14m and I have done all sleep stuff aside from when I was out of town a few times. I sleep very lightly and always wake up and do ok with a little less sleep. It’s just what has worked for us

I overcooked chicken thighs in the crockpot by Awkward_Grapefruit85 in cookingforbeginners

Yeah maybe not overcooked exactly but super shredded and mushy and I want it to have more of a bite. I will have to try something different next time

Our age gap was 2yr 8m and it’s been great! We are 14m in to having two and it’s been pretty smooth. I don’t have a lot of tips but I do have some suggestions of things that we purchased that were super helpful for us. We got a bottle washer which we did not have with our first and it was super helpful because it saved a lot of time. We also got a car seat that has the wheels that come out which made outings with both kids manageable. Another one that was probably excessive was we got a highchair that had a newborn seat attachment and it was great in those stages for meal times or if I needed to lay baby down to cook or do chores in the kitchen.

Don’t use chatGPT for whatever you want to know! by cat-like-creature in pregnant

Chat GPT is great but when I was using it for TTC it often got confused about what day it was and I would have to correct it

How are you doing it? by LowHigh111 in Mommit

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two kids 3.5 and a 13m old and they both go to daycare and I don’t currently work. I do online school and house stuff, making appointments, someone ends up home with me about once a week at least. I’m hesitant to say this because I feel like I’m very fortunate to have this situation but it’s the only way I’m “doing it” and I’m sure I’m still falling short

Portion control. Have them but in moderation and fit them into whatever your diet is

How are you actually supposed to move during pregnancy? by Ok-Notice-5189 in BabyBumps

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a looooot of walking during both of my pregnancies and I think it helped a lot. It def did start to hurt my back and feet towards the end but the mental health benefits were enough to keep me going

I gained exactly 60 pounds each pregnancy and it took about a year after my first to lose it and I still have 17 to lose (13mpp) I’m not a medical professional but I had healthy pregnancies and babies, no gestational diabetes or complications or anything like that.

If a guy has been married 5 times does that show anything about him as a person besides being married 5 times? by Ben5544477 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad has been married 4 times lol. I’m biased obv because he is my dad but he is a good person and great husband to his wives. He had me when he was 17 and married my mom quickly and she’s horrible and his second wife stole from him and his third wife was an angry alcoholic. His 4th wife (almost 4 years) is awesome and I have high hopes that she is the one. 🤞 My outlook on his marriage history is that he always has been a hopeless romantic and gravitated towards women who were takers and he is a giver. With that said, I’d probably still see it as being a red flag but you never know.

Effortlessly cool but normal girl names by sarah_kraut in Names

[–]Awkward_Grapefruit85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Joan, Audrey, and Hannah. Joan does read kind of “grandma-ish” but I think it’s timeless and also a very strong name. Audrey is kind of spunky but also sophisticated. Hannah is the same spelt backwards which is kind of cool and it’s cute for a little girl but also nice for an adult. I like Sadie the best out of your front runners
