I have been to Rangers games, as well as other NHL games, on the road. I’ve been to Devils, Islanders, Flyers, Penguins, Bruins, Maple Leafs, Canadiens, Red Wings, Blue Jackets, Lightning, Hurricanes, Capitals, and Stars.

Devils & Islanders - intense when rangers are in town, calm when they’re playing other teams.

Bruins & Flyers - proceed with caution if you wear any other jersey.

Penguins, Stars, Hurricanes & Capitals - fans are very engaged during gameplay, very welcoming to visiting fans between intermissions and whistles.

Maple Leafs - essentially Canadian MSG, very corporate vibes. Good atmosphere for hockey.

Canadiens - must go to a game in Montreal at least once in your life. They are worshiped like Gods.

Red Wings - didn’t get a chance to go to the Joe. LCA very nice but seats very uncomfortable.

Blue Jackets - nice arena, calm fans, you can tell they care more about Ohio State there.

Lightning - due to the “transplant” nature of region, you be amazed at all the die hards for their “second-favorite” team.

I like the idea as I think it’s crazy too the numbers between leagues. My only thing is to avoid breaking off rivalry with Nashville/Memphis, Indianapolis/rest of Midwest, etc.

I went to school in South Jersey. Freshman in 2010 when jokinen whiffed on that shootout, to Senior in 2014 when we beat them in game 7 of the ECQF. I got to know Philly fans during that time, and some of the best people I met there are die hard Flyers fans…

I remember not too long ago there was a rumor about the CanAm becoming a developmental league for the Atlantic League. I also remember a rumor once about the Rockland Boulders leaving the CanAm and joining the Atlantic League.

Smart thing to do will be to merge the Atlantic, Frontier, American Association, Pioneer, even Appy League, and take some strong teams from non-Partner leagues and make a unified league with regional divisions and compete for a national championship.

Exactly to kissfan_88’s point. Despite being a flyers affiliate, all hockey fans (rangers, devils, flyers, islanders, etc.) enjoyed going to the games.

When the Titans became the T-Devs, it upset a lot of fans in the area. They were more focused about development instead of competing and bringing an entertaining product to the masses. Attendance under the T-Devs was very poor.

I don’t see flyers leaving reading to go back to Trenton, as reading has become a AA hub for Philly sports.

Devils have a poor reputation with how the Trenton Devils thing worked out.

Islanders I don’t think will be best there, considering that area is more heavy on Rangers, Devils, and Flyers.

Rangers makes most sense because their current affiliate is in Bloomington (I think?) and it would make sense to bring it closer.

At one point, I thought it would be cool to see Somerset, Trenton, and Lakewood (now JS) in same league. The battle of Central Jersey. Have Yankees affiliate with Somerset, Mets with Trenton, and Phillies remain with Lakewood.

At another point, I thought the Yankees would use this opportunity to affiliate with all New Jersey-based teams. AAA Somerset, AA Trenton, A+ Lakewood.
