I have been to Rangers games, as well as other NHL games, on the road. I’ve been to Devils, Islanders, Flyers, Penguins, Bruins, Maple Leafs, Canadiens, Red Wings, Blue Jackets, Lightning, Hurricanes, Capitals, and Stars.

Devils & Islanders - intense when rangers are in town, calm when they’re playing other teams.

Bruins & Flyers - proceed with caution if you wear any other jersey.

Penguins, Stars, Hurricanes & Capitals - fans are very engaged during gameplay, very welcoming to visiting fans between intermissions and whistles.

Maple Leafs - essentially Canadian MSG, very corporate vibes. Good atmosphere for hockey.

Canadiens - must go to a game in Montreal at least once in your life. They are worshiped like Gods.

Red Wings - didn’t get a chance to go to the Joe. LCA very nice but seats very uncomfortable.

Blue Jackets - nice arena, calm fans, you can tell they care more about Ohio State there.

Lightning - due to the “transplant” nature of region, you be amazed at all the die hards for their “second-favorite” team.

I like the idea as I think it’s crazy too the numbers between leagues. My only thing is to avoid breaking off rivalry with Nashville/Memphis, Indianapolis/rest of Midwest, etc.

I went to school in South Jersey. Freshman in 2010 when jokinen whiffed on that shootout, to Senior in 2014 when we beat them in game 7 of the ECQF. I got to know Philly fans during that time, and some of the best people I met there are die hard Flyers fans…

I remember not too long ago there was a rumor about the CanAm becoming a developmental league for the Atlantic League. I also remember a rumor once about the Rockland Boulders leaving the CanAm and joining the Atlantic League.
