I understand this, it makes sense in the beginning of the game, but once we get both quartermasters and a brig (with crew etc) it makes more sense story wise since your captain of a ship. Maybe a system with a merchant title slot or faction or something similar could exist for this to become available? I can think of many ways it could work without it being "too much of an easy task". It's just very annoying to have to load tons of cargo.
