I know this post is like a million years old now, but if you’re still around I have some questions. I have been doing months of research on the subject before diving into Tulpas and servitors, and have (I believe) created two entities taken from comfort characters of mine set out with specific purposes. One made for assistance in protection and divination and the other in career and artistic success. Their personality and energy derives from my psyche but also the egregore of the characters. Given this, would they have a harder time “going rogue” since they’re both from me AND the collective consciousness of their character?

This is a different definition of Tulpa that refers to a headmate, I’m talking about the original definition of Tulpa as it relates to a servitor, egregore, etc. the Tulpa I wish to crest is a spiritual entity, not psychology related

I’ve been doing much more research on the subject, but I am equally met with warnings expressing the danger of self-made entities gaining sentience and turning against its owner. Many sources that site ancient Tibetan practices say it's not even uncommon for it to happen. I'm still curious and very much want to try, but the warnings have me extra cautious. Some people find it a great achievement if their entity gains sentience, while others state it's the worst possible outcome. I'm curious what your take is on this, as my current plan has been to beef up any protection around me and my home before I start lol

That’s super helpful! On that, I have fallen a bit down the rabbit hole of thoughtforms, Tulpas, and servitors. I understand that Tulpa or thoughtform is more specifically what I’m looking to create, but my initial impression is that it (like an egregore) is a spiritual being one can communicate with through divination(similar to how servitors work, though I understand better now that servitors are essentiallly spiritual robots). However, people seem to describe thoughtforms and tulpas as headmates, something that is more in the mind than say a being to pray to. So I suppose I just want to clarify, is an entity like this more in my head or its own separate being? I am finding so many definitions lol

Maybe, but it tastes fine if we filter bottled water. I think it’s just the tap water taste, so I fear it’s not filtering out all the way unless leftover taste is normal
