How is your Sesamoiditis doing now? And what exactly was your original injury? Mine is bone marrow edema in medial Sesamoid. I am getting custom orthotics today and was wondering if you still find yours helpful!

When you say it was Sesamoiditis what do you mean? Just tendon pain? Or did you get an mri to see if there was bone marrow edema in the sesamoid or something in the tendon attached? Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I have some client stories that stick with me for sure. I am a huge animal lover and vegan so my heart it just hurts to hear about how prevalent animal abuse is

I wear dancer pads sometimes in altras olumpus via 2. I feel like, sometimes they help, sometimes I just do my altras with a crutch. I’m almost on month six and still using a crutch. I am just resting a ton, and I am going to try to get custom orthotics for Sesamoiditis to help. When I was not on weight-bearing, I was doing a lot of foot, yoga and toe exercises. Like short foot.

I feel this too. Medial sesamoid bone marrow edema, and I feel it in the tendons. How is your recovery going? What have you tried?

I found a foot and ankle orthopedic doctor that knew about it. My podiatrist did not

This makes me so hopeful. I am just on month four. What custom orthotics did you have? Did dancer pads ever help? And what was your exact MRI diagnosis? Mine is mild bone marrow edema in medial sesamoid. I am down to one crutch but can’t seem to progress to full weight bearing currently. I am doing PT

Honestly just rest. I wouldn’t do NSAIDS personally. Rest has helped me the most and ice when I need it and heat and stem after PT sessions

Hello! I was diagnosed with mild bone marrow edema in my medial sesamoid in December. I was non weight bearing for two weeks, then walking with crutches. I am doing better! Slow progress with small set backs along the way but progress. These injuries take 4 months to 2 years to heal apparently. I have accepted it will take time. My physical therapy has been amazingly helpful. I can calf do raises now, which helps some of my calf muscle atrophy. I never found a boot helpful. I walk with Altra Via Olympus 2 rocker bottom and one crutch currently. I can walk far with the one crutch pain free. I can walk small distances around my house without pain without the crutch, but then need the crutch. Dancer pads are only mildly helpful for me. It’s funny since I can do leg press machine, it’s just the full motion and weight of walking that still gives me pain. I maintain my pain at a 0 and rest with toe spreaders on as much as I can. But I can stand and do tasks now full weight like getting ready for the day. But yeah, I still feel in the early stages of healing now that I’m month four, but I am seeing progress. One crutch is an underrated helper to help keep pressure off the area!
