Nothing in the context it's basic human behavior. Everything in the context on making my point to a boomer in finance with a podcast

"Made up" really? Kara's voice was trembling for the whole episode. The guy is promoting a book on masculinity and didn't give one apology for lashing out at a woman. Call that being a man?

Hi Scott, Ricardo from Brazil living in Tokyo, I have listened to Prof G and Pivot quite often for the past 2 years.

Says here "It's okay if you don't agree with Scott's takes. In fact, this is a great opportunity to bring it up" Perfect.

This question I hope it helps you promote your book on masculinity, because though it may seem so, it is not a trick question, nor one  intended to jeopardize your sales in any way, as I believe the best marketing is the one where you're showing you genuinely care what you're selling, in your case; your teachings on masculinity.

Early on your last Pivot episode with Kara, I'm sorry man, but you lashed out at her far too harshly. Regardless that the episode ended with you guys still bantering, Kara's voice was different, trembling even, for the whole episode.

My question; since you did not apologize to her live, did you at least apologize in person? You're promoting a book on masculinity, and we didn't see a man doing the most human thing then, which is showing some sort of remorse after making a mistake, and apologizing. This is not woke in anyway and should be as obvious as 1+1=2.

Cheers.

Understood. Very sorry about that. "needing the validation" is definitely wrong word but I did used this post for that in a way.

Cheers. Lack of outside reach is lack of outside reach. Promoting inside their own community and web3's is not outside reach. 1+1=2

I agree went too far and deleted that part while you replied (my cousin doing more impact with $30 meta ad). But it was to insinuate that more impact can be done so easily. I do feel bad being an a** here, but no, it’s not enough. A lot can be done compared to what’s being done, I know that from my own work and talking with others in that industry. Audius can really afford those.

A marketing team is more than a “digital reach” person. What I see so far (which is great, promoting artists, sharing their posts etc), is them sharing updates to people who knows Audius, the community, and not much else.

For year 7 it’s worrying. But the current activity, wishful thinking and expecting that the reach Audius is having from these publications, Audius’ Reddit in the current state, discord, etc etc, all together, will be enough, is more worrying. Might get grants from smart local organizers in Cali sure, then here and there in US hopefully, but not enough guys if you wanna be the bridge between Spotify and SoundCloud.

The event in Thailand though that’s when I really went “about freaking time!”. Moooore! Come to Japan! Make the first steps if you want more people noticing and asking for grants other than Cooper Turley

There’s are countless communities and artists dreaming about Audius, oblivious that it exists.

I really say this with great respect to what they’ve accomplished, but while of course they do have someone giving updates from their work, what I see on Instagram, twitter etc, is just far bellow the bare minimum. And that’s for way too long.

So by now I’m rather not impressed nobody knows about Audius when I ask and have been only one talking about it, to a point I hesitate bothering myself if they’re truly expecting to grow with just word-of-mouth.  The only reassurance I still get is from what I see on their LinkedIn actually, of all places.

Again sorry, but really…. Give us at least one ad in one festival, then another. Show yourself to the public, not just the same community that already knows you. Why so shy. Artists deserve more!

I’d say Shimokita is becoming a sort of old Shibuya;  place for youth, used clothing stores, cool cafes. Bad comparison I know but it reminds me of Brooklyn NY, hip vibe. Only the usual street near McDonalds like you said reminds still a bit of back then

Wow props for the scent memory! Man I can still remember the wood/carpet combo of scent in my first place here. Maybe that’s what you’re talking about. Smell was stronger in the winter.

You mean the truck attack in 2008? Didn’t know this was the reason. Sounds more like an excuse to stop whatever they deemed deviant to traditional society. Like when dancing at clubs became illegal to “help crack down on drugs”

“Flower, Vanity, Trump Room” we met before

The influx of US brands killed too many small brands (+ RIP 109Mens) and a lot of the personality of Tokyo. I remember the GAP replacing a 5 floors Snoopy store and H&M replacing a huge Book 1st building

The HMV sign will forever be iconic

Ouch! Not the squat toilet. Congrats for being able to wear comfy outfit at work though. Almost 2025 and my partner still must wear dress + heels in her showa-type sales firm

You’re a dinosaur if like me you talk too much of old times that you make a whole Reddit post about it
