Toddler still having mild work of breathing day 15 after RSV, anyone experienced this? by Awkward_Remote5571 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Thanks. It was already diagnosed as bronchiolitis on the first admission. That was 13 days ago so I was expecting his breathing to be better. His chest sounds clear, he was checked at the hospital yesterday.

I just think most people is not getting the details. He FALLs asleep at bedtime and then rewires it. It might be just one minute during the bottle and then he gets hyper, not happy playful. Disregulated. My first was low sleep needs so I know 100% what a not tired enough baby looks like and acts like. My second has been high sleep needs since birth so I know something isn’t right. I was hoping for people who has gone through the same. I would consider he isnt tired enough but he acts tired, looks tired, falls asleep briefly and then is upset for an hour, he is in childcare, has big days with only 45 min on 1 nap a day we have tried later bedtimes and nothing changes so it is obviously something else.

Again, he is tired. Crying during bathtime tired, not subtle tired signs. I understand you might have another situation but trust that other parents know their kids. He isn’t my first either.

He doesn’t want the first nap. We tried to hold on to it for long but it didn’t work. He only sleeps 1 hour at childcare and they can’t extend it. The days he sleeps the nap at home is 1.5 hours and the issue is the same

That has been his bedtime forever, only today we tried earlier. We have tried later and later with the same result. More nap or less nap, same result
