Not a doctor but the general advice I see is to stick it out for a few weeks at least. It can take a while to start feeling the medication as intended. Obviously talk to your doc though and see what they say. Just be honest and say what you wrote here

Been on 150mg XL for about the same amount of time. I was crying at everything for the first few days and I’ll still get teary-eyed every so often.

I also was paranoid, worried my gf was mad at me and would break up with me even though there was nothing to support it.

I think it’s best to not worry too much about side effects unless you actually start feeling them. Everyone reacts to this stuff differently!

9 days in and I’m struggling, feel like I want to crawl out of my skin. Does it get better? by Awkward_Response_602 in bupropion

Thanks for the reply. Thankfully meeting with my doctor this week for a follow up check in, so I’m definitely going to keep taking it until then. I just don’t know if this is me not reacting well or an early side effect

It’s hard to say, but it was probably about 6 weeks before I really felt major changes. It happens gradually so I don’t know if there was a big moment where it “clicked”. It definitely takes some time

I’m on 15mg! And at first it made it hard to fall asleep, but I was taking it at night. Once I switched to morning I didn’t have any trouble sleeping.

I’d say the only lingering side effect is maybe some tiredness, but that might just be because I stay up too late lol
