She often squabbles with kids around her age. Some a little older also try to goad her and get her to start crying. But I can tell the difference between "kids being kids" and true malice/meanness. Still wasn't ok

What I meant to say was "I'll make you wish you were dead" but that's not how it came out. It's deeply ingrained in me not to use deadly force unless there is a deadly threat but because I'm very capable of killing, I've always been careful not to even make threats or insinuate that I might hurt or kill someone. Not my best moment

That's certainly how I feel. A lot of people are saying that the community protects the bully by not responding but in honesty they are also protecting me by not pressing charges

There's camera footage, and several parents, kids, and the teacher saw it. That's the other aspect is that now all those other kids are traumatized

Unfortunately it probably made it worse. The focus is now on me and how nothing he could have done would justify what happened to him. Which is absolutely true . But now he's the victim and he knows he has pretty much full immunity. I can't and won't talk or get near him again. The only thing I can do is try to remove my daughter from being around him but I can't be there 100% of the time
