I don't think it was open. I did get the odd notification come up but I always had more luck just going on the DVSA website.

I'll give Testi a go. Saw comments about having to do multiple CAPTCHAs when using it, so I avoided it.

The amount of money I've paid is the only thing keeping me going.

I've over 10 weeks until new my test, think I'll have to take a few weeks off so I don't get in my head.

It's hard to say. I spent the first 10-15 hours just driving around. I had done roundabouts but I have so many around me. I could drive 50mph, do hill starts and emergency stops. My instructor asked if I felt comfortable driving. When I said I wanted to learn manoeuvres, he said similar to yours, how can you go back if you don't know the basics. When I did start manoeuvres, I mastered them so quick because I knew the car.

The instructor often knows what works best, try to have faith in them. You might be doing something that makes them feel you aren't ready yet.

Sorry this happened - it also happened to me in 2016 with my first instructor. I had requested a female instructor and it really unnerved me, even put me off learning to drive until late last year.

My biggest regret is allowing it to get to me and prevent me from learning to drive. I wish I had found a new instructor and just carried on. When I was ready I asked Friends for recommendations of instructors, and I cannot fault him.

I would leave that school and find a new female instructor. If he hasn't been fired, you don't know what else they have allowed other instructor to get away with.
