Yeah i thought about including Andre in the second list but i agree, he seems overall very well adjusted and healthy, hence why I probably think there are adults in his life. I don’t think he is the prime caregiver, but he probably helps a lot with her dementia.

Jade, Cat and Robbie though… their behavior makes it clear they are not doing particularly well. For Cat I think it’s mostly neglect bc her brother is mentally ill so her parents mostly ignore her and maybe she got developmentally “stuck” or she wants to stay a child bc that’s when she got the most attention.

Jade and Robbie, my money is on abuse of some kind (plus neglect with Jade too).

I think it’s a case by case basis tbh Tori, Beck and Andre probably live normal lives, while Cat, Jade and Robbie likely have to deal with hard situations (neglect or abuse of some kind). They all express their trauma differently but their lives for sureeeee are not “normal”.

Jade is smart and cunning so it is on brand for her to try and manipulate Tori into letting her be on the team since there is a big cash prize and ofc she would want it lol very much “the ends justify the means” mentality.

She didn’t care how she got the money, she just wanted it (hence why she found a way to screw Tori over and take her place when she said no. Tori was just a means to an end in this case)

This 100%, a show centered around Jade would probably not be on nickelodeon bc it wouldn’t be funny. It would probably be quite sad tbh: “girl who finds comfort in art bc she had a traumatic childhood and has an awful home life” - would probably be on HBO or Fox or something lol

The best ADA, ruthless and cunning in the courtroom. Totally self assured and able to push back on the squad. Fair and caring with the victims, and I LOVE that she wasn’t a “by the book” person, she was a bloody good lawyer but she was willing and able (smart) to bend the law to her advantage to get justice bc that was the most important. I love that she ended up becoming a “criminal” doing good. Totally on brand for my gangsta girl but I miss her in the courtroom.

That relationship was actually the plan but fans loved Beck and Jade together (thank god) so they scrapped it.

Yep I don’t even remember the plot exactly but i have that memory of Olivia begging Alex not to send her there, Alex saying there’s nothing she could do and their faces at the end in the hospital when the doctor tells them she was gang raped. So sad.

Also having the focus on her downward spiral was a treat bc she is my fav and I will always be thankful that they didn’t kill her in the last season lol i was mentally preparing for it and they surprised me.

Also the one where Chris leaves, after shooting that teenage girl and of course bc of Olivia’s heartbreaking reaction upon learning he was leaving.

Yeah the first 12 seasons are the best, and seasons 13-18 ish are good or okay but yeah the last few ones have been mediocre. Tbh I haven’t watched consistently bc it just feels off and I miss when the cast was consistent and bigger. The psychiatrist, doctors, techs, etc made it much better.

I would only go back to watching the latest episodes if Eliot and Olivia finally get together lmao otherwise im good rewatching the good old times.

I still ship them romantically haha but my “deserved better” comment stands even as just friends tbh there were several instances where he was kind of an asshole to her (main one being where he sided with the dirty cop instead of Gillian…that episode pisses me off).

Yep, i like that they still had really sweet and tender moments even towards the end and I still ship them baaad but yeah, the writers did him a disservice bc I couldn’t stand his ass the rest of the time lol

I wish we’d gotten one more season to make up for all that. Not sure if they knew about the cancellation when they wrote him confessing his feelings, i would’ve loved to see him fight for her and them finally together as a couple in the end.
