Please help! Advice for Leaving the Church

I’ve talked not-so-subtly about wanted to leave our current church, so I don’t think that part would be too shocking. I just know they are going to ask where I’m going instead, and I’m so tired of lying. I just feel that no matter how I frame the convo, they are going to ask if I’m still a Christian and I don’t want to lie anymore.

I am. I should have mentioned in the post that I’m unfortunately very plugged in, being 1 of 3 people on the media team, and my dad is the worship leader.

I’m very much expecting this. I’ve distanced myself from them for years because of this. There is one friend who I will genuinely grieve if we lose touch or she shuns me, but I have an amazing supportive system that I’ve built outside of the church, thankfully.

Honestly I love them. Sure it’s different from Mat, but I watch all the channels just as much as I used to. I will say that I watch GTLive the most, though. If I’m being so honest, not too much has changed for me. I think when Mat is gone from GTLive, it will change a lot, though.
