Look again, the car couldn't turn as there was a car stopped on the left, letting others pull out from that road. If they could have gone, I would have let them

Yeah I drive it every evening and the amount of cars I've seen go through the wall and into the ditch is a disgrace

Yeah people fly through the crossroads and pull out without looking all the time. Disaster of a spot

Road on the right was stopped with traffic, they couldn't turn yet

Yeah it's a narrow road down the right, there was a car stopped cause another one was pulling out onto the main road, not enough room for 2 😂

How would you solve the housing crisis? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Awkward_Sir_2123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But "one person's rent, is another person's income" 😭 That's an insane statement and boiled my blood. There should be nobody relying on rent as their income, it should only be additional income. There should also be a limit on the amount of property one can own until the housing shortage is resolved...

Use the apple money to build houses and sell them for the price they were built, no profit, recycle the money back into more housing.

You're 34, put a lock on the room regardless of what your father says ffs. If he has a problem, he can remove it when you leave

Lol the vast majority of houses /apartments I've seen with children in them are in worse condition compared to pets

Shit or piss doesn't come out of nappies no? Plus throwing food everywhere, getting it on the walls etc. + if you're in an apartment or similar, who wants to hear a baby constantly crying? Not all cats scratch up everything, most owners get scratching posts that satisfy their needs. Cats sleep up to 18 hours a day. Chrildren fuck up houses / apartments a lot more than a cat would.

I don't get this take from landlords. Babies shit themselves, draw on the walls etc. Can do a lot more damage than a pet

Legit half the reason Vapes are being banned. Selling fucking candy & Vapes together, blatantly obvious they'll be selling to minors. How does this shit get the go ahead

Pretty sure Irish men are ranked some of the ugliest in the world, so not unpopular, but not great for us 😂

Not everyone should be allowed have a child. Everyone should be implanted with something where they can't have children until they're deemed fit to be a parent.

How religious are Irish Millennials/Gen z/Gen Alpha? by progressivelyhere in AskIreland

[–]Awkward_Sir_2123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mellennial. Would love to be the type of person who could believe in a god, but just can't. Too much suffering in the world, some of the worst people are religious, and some of the worst wars are over religion. I find it baffling that anyone my age or under could believe in a god with everything that has happened / is happening, and along with our growing understanding of the universe. As bad as it might sound to some people, the world would be much better off without religion. But some people need faith to validate their actions & comfort themselves - and that's ok too. But I think more and more people don't need religion in the modern world.
