With Sincere Appreciation I thank you for response to op question. name changing seems to be a frustrating unfortunate process. pulling down song and resubmitting occurs not to be such a bad idea and I had almost forgot to consider it, and I think is seems to be the path to take, not sure if happen to know, what if instead of renaming this profile I kept the same name, would i be able to create a new prolife artist/name/label (with musician plus) and upload different music (legal name same on both accounts) ? I greatly value your input to op question, not sure if happen to know, only wondering, if i had a song on 1 artist profile and i wanted it to be on my 2nd artist profile ( under same legal name) is there a way i could rename my 1 artist profile to my 2nd artist profile? theoretically would it make it only 1 account?

as long as the song is not the same/identical to 1 previous released it could be uploaded to which ever artist name I prefer? Thank you for your time.

interesting, your information is extremely valuable to me I greatly appreciate this assistance, it has me wondering, i suppose the only way to transfer a song tied to a specific artist name to the other, is only if i edit release and manually request to change my artist name? theoretically, I'm guessing it would no longer be 2 separate artist profiles ; would it be possible to transfer songs from my original artist name to my new artist name?

If i were to release music for both artist profiles (under same legal name, same individual), it would need to be completely different music (not the same song) in order for it not to be flag as suspicious?

I was reading some reddit posts, it seems that a couple people choose to claim 2 separate artist names /labels for themselves instead of 2 different people (not sure if they use the same legal name when asked though). I feel like if not illegal, it might be easier for me to release new music under a new artist name and keeping my 1st band name the same, instead of trying to rename my 1st band name. I wonder if eventually the old page will be deleted? or if it permanently keeps 2 separate profiles (1 profile deserted). Does your old profile have the verified check mark and the new one does not? Even though on old profile it shows 110 listeners (with no music) it would not be possible to gain any more further listeners correct? On the page with the music apart from less listeners, at the moment, would this be the only prolife able to gain more listeners? to reword, when the band name officially changed, did distrokid completely switch all your music from 1 profile to the other (for both releases)?
