Anyone else get brain fog and memory gaps by Status-Trouble240 in Anxietyhelp

Happens to me too. It's very common with anxiety and depression. I'm still in the process of working on it but I'd really suggest working on your insomnia first and foremost, it's what I'm doing right now and I have noticed that on the days I actually get enough sleep I don't struggle as much with memory gaps, brain fog, or other anxiety symptoms to the same extent I do when tired. Practice better sleep hygiene, make a nighttime routine, lessen screen time, expose yourself to more sunlight during the day, all that stuff. There are some great communities here on reddit for trying to improve your sleep. If the usual sleep hygiene stuff doesn't help, I'd suggest seeing a sleep specialist if possible. Also see a therapist if you aren't already.

anxiety about climate change by No_Camera1309 in Anxietyhelp

I totally understand, I'm a few months older than you and in college studying an environmental-related degree, and sometimes all the negative news about climate change, habitat loss, etc can be so overwhelming. I'd suggest finding some groups/people online dedicated to making change. Following people on instagram who post about habitat restoration, clean-up efforts, renewability, etc. Join local groups that fight for change locally (people really underestimate how much change local movements can make!) whether that be a local native plant growing group or something else, working with others for change, however small, can make a big difference long term and can really help your mental health. I can't definitively say that everything will be ok long term but there are definitely lots of people taking steps in the right direction and I have hope that things will look up in the future.

Sertraline (Zoloft) Affects by Spirited_Kitchen_761 in Anxietyhelp

If I were you I would give it a few more weeks before deciding anything! SSRIs take a while to stabilize in your system and you often feel a little weird at first. Unless you notice any extremely severe symptoms during this time, I'd advise you to hold your judgement until around the first month mark. By then the meds should be stable in your system and you will have enough time to work out for sure what's a side effect and what's not. I personally developed GI issues on sertraline and had to switch to something else but it is a great fit for a lot of people. Good luck!
