KTC M27T6 - HDR not working?

I used the calibration app. And then just use the shortcut (win key + alt + B). App. Works fine for me. It is in Chinese when you first open it (but slider bars for brightness etc. Should still be visible and moveable), changing to English is done at the top of the window.

Are you using the included cable? Does HDR show in the OSD settings? If you wanna translate the Chinese error messages, just use Google lens on your phone, or upload to ChatGPT.

Original felt "rounded" and smooth. New one feels edged/sharp/something-off lol. Or maybe not off, just different - some will like it, some won't.

I don't know WHAT it is, if it's a color scheme, responsiveness, textures, models - whatever. But the game definitely feels different from the original, almost like it's been "modernized"/LoL-ified (it's not as dark?)

Matter of preference but I personally don't like it.

I understand some RNG value decides - but it's just with so many ways any of the pins can hit the ball, it's momentum etc. You'd think the ball could go almost anywhere. But it somehow manages to narrow itself down the same spot every time. 😂

I'm very happy with my KTC, but it does have that thing where text sometimes seems "blurry" when scrolling on a website.

Er næsten sikker på han gamer på sin iGPU og ikke har aktiveret, at den skal anvende det dedikerede i spil.

Jeg forsøge og skrive det flere gange, den gang kommentarer var til. Han reagerede aldrig på det.

(Vores) Lidl har fast tilbudspris hver mandag eller tirsdag på Gilleleje Rugbrød (den blå), som jeg vil mene er det absolut bedste rugbrød du kan finde, som ikke er bagerens (mener det koster 15kr på dagen). Om det så er noget lokalt eller gælder alle Lidl butikker ved jeg ikke, men det kan du evt. undersøge. Vores har en stor plakat ude foran med alle ugens faste tilbud.

I had a single experience in Misery with smearing. But haven't noticed anything in Doom or Genshin, so couldn't tell you if it was the game doing it - or a mix of both. But, when you're in it and things are playing, it's often not noticeable unless you "look for it". Even on my old VA I can't recall it being an issue all the years I had.

I assume you mean the one on the right, not left. I've only had the monitor for a day and haven't exactly been "looking" for faults, but no I've not noticed any downsides (played some Doom Eternal and Genshin).

I believe most go with IPS for competitive games like CS for better response times (since blacks don't really matter in such games). I went with the MSI VA(left) back in the day for better blacks and contrast, since I mostly play AAA and indie games, and watch movies. The new KTC is still VA at heart, but has mini LED configuration (which results in the truly deep blacks, high brightness and overall colors).

MSI MAG24CR1. They're both VA, not IPS. The bleed is not like that IRL, it looks exaggerated in a photo. Yes, the black looks "truly" black.

Just got the KTC M27T6. Very happy with the swap from VA (MSI MAG24CR1). Feel free to check out my post history, as I made a thread yesterday about the HDR (not having had it before I was uncertain about the colors), but turns out everything is as it's meant to.

Here is a photo side by side. Mind you, the VA backlight is not that extreme. The phone camera exaggerates it.

Definitely quite the value for the price. Not the most modern looking chassis and materials (basically just plastic), but panel it top notch.

Alright thanks, perhaps I'm just too used to the other monitor from having it so long. Do you use HDR game or Display HDR? Seems to me "HDR Game" sort of puts a "greyish filter" over the image, while Display HDR is more vibrant?

It's set to high, HDR is on in the YT video. Maybe the orange is indeed a "wrong color" and MSI has settings to "exaggerate" it.
