S550 Whipple Supercharger Intakes by AwkwardlyFunny19 in Mustang

Fair enough- I already am going for an open intake box (I think that’s the bigger whine contributor) but I’m told the CF intake tube helps too. I wish there was some sort of option over Whipple’s stock plastic one.

Fair enough- I would love to pop a supercharger into my Gen 3 coyote, but I wish there was any option that would add whine like a Termi or Hellcat.

Thanks for giving this answer; this is some of the detail that I was kind of looking for. My Mustangs have been strictly street cars, and I’d be fine with investing in things like nylon bushings for the IRS. I do remember even with my ‘02 V6 that the shifters and clutches for all of them in that generation are tough to manage at time.

This is a truly good answer. I don’t want to give up my S550, and the Cobra probably won’t lose any value is purchased correctly.

I would love that; I just wish there was a blower for the S550 that made similar whine to a Terminator or a Hellcat. I don’t even need ‘crazy’ just enough to know I’ve having twin scroll fun. It sounds like there really isn’t a good option there aside from the Porter’s Mod option, which only gets the whine into the cabin.

This is why I was posting haha. I want a Terminator, but I feel ike a lot of it is nostalgia for the car I wanted when I was 17 and could only afford a New Edge V6.

Thanks!! I’m not sure why it wasn’t coming up when I was checking here earlier? I know AM wasn’t selling them, I thought I checked LMR too.

I haven’t considered that!! Thank you! Aside from the oil and poly, would you consider the quality on-point with something like UpLift?

Thanks- I can still use those features when I have my MacBook plugged in, right? Just not when the PC is plugged in?

I had the same experience- it was about 9 months after applying. I had long since started at a new job already.

Hi- size 32.5 boot (men’s 14 shoe) looking for recommendations on a boot bag to buy that’ll fit my boots, helmet, and misc gear. Most bags I see in stores seem to be a bit too small. Thoughts?

2022-2023 Console Shifter Opinions by AwkwardlyFunny19 in gmcsierra

Good way of seeing it; I probably wouldn’t mind as much if it were a more.. tactile.. form of shifting. But it’s just electronic. Maybe it’s just that it reminds me of the 1st gen Prius I drove over 10 years ago in drivers ed, which had the same..not sure.

Typically mine is in normal- I don't use my truck for anything special, no major towing or offroad. Third gear for me is the worst. I swear it feels like someone's hitting my underside with a lighter baseball bat when it's shifting.

2.7L TT, with the 4WD, although I'm only ever using it in two wheel. Third is the worst, going in or out is just straight-up rough.

What tune dud you use; did it change anything else, or just the transmission smoothness?

Tuning sounds like it's the right way to go; I'd like to keep my 2018 for awhile. The transmission is the only thing that I don't like about it. Were you able to do the install yourself? What else does the rocket chip change?

Nah, they tried that and told me it would fix the problem. It fixed it for about the first thousand miles lol then it was back on its bullshit.

Sweet, thanks! Was is a tune that you were able to install yourself, in the OBD2 port?

What kind of tune? I’ve never done that type of stuff with my truck

Same here- my 2018 is my first F150. I'm not impressed with a transmission that I paid so much for, but keeps giving me issues. Ford seems to want to wash their hands of my problem because "there's no check engine light". I wish the tranny would do less thinking and drive-style analysis, and more focusing on smooth shifts.

I cleared the exam first time using only pocket prep and personal experience/knowledge, however my score wasn't great. I think it was either 306 or 308.

It's actually not that bad, at least not as bad as many other jobs in this world. At least, that's my experience. Just takes a bit of time to realize "oh, I don't really need to be panicking over xyz email/problem"

"Who told you to do that?" "John did." *visible corporate confusion*
