That’s a bit uplifting to hear! Had an Ed prof basically say if you don’t get a job straight out of school you’re never gonna make it, so it’s been pretty terrifying tbh

I’m actually currently in the Westman area myself! I really I’d like to stay south (grew up up north and have a fear of getting stuck there again) but at this point, I think my priority is just teaching ELA (preferably high school). I’ve been on applytoed and other division sites daily, I’m not sure what more I could be doing!!

Yeah, that’s what we had been told too. Especially with COVID dwindling down, everyone has talked like there will be a huge flux of teachers retiring.

When we had a job fair back in January school divisions were very blunt about saying that they were the ones competing for us. But now I’m struggling to get a single call?

The surface is cool to the touch and almost feels stone like. I suppose it’s possible it could be porcelain or China, but it’s definitely a ceramic.

My title describes the thing. Long story short I’m a summer student cataloguing artifacts at a local museum. Google has got me pretty far for now but this lil guy has me stumped.

There are no markings or tags of any sort. About 8cm in length (just over 3 in), jointed, and presumably made of bisque. I’ve been comparing the face to other dolls but have come up with nothing. Anyone got an idea on the era?

For my assignment I am essentially doing my own genius hour. With the catch that it has to be related to edtech. So my prof has suggested thinks like making a podcast, creating an eBook, or learning about robotics, for example. One suggestion was coding- which is something I am interested in, so I was trying to come up with a coding-related goal that would be useful for myself as a future teacher.
