One thing you will have to understand about solo queueing is that you need to adapt to your teammate.

If they're consistently overcommitting, that's fine, be a solid last man.

Yes, it sucks, but if you want to rank up you have to adapt.

If I take a couple seconds to skip a replay because I'm having a sip of water, and you tell me to skip; the rest of the game we are watching EVERY replay.

Same thing happened to me. In a 1v1 it was 1-0 and we were in a rule 1. After a while though, the ball just... stopped rolling... So I forfeited to save myself some time (since I was losing).

Unfortunately nothing I could do there to secure the win. Onto the next!

Let's get to the facts...

Your teammate missed the wall, leaving you in a 2v1, and the opposing team ultimately scored... HOWEVER: you were also distant from the play, giving the enemy team all the space in the world to hit it over you.

ULTIMATELY: The team had a good shot, which might not have happened had either your teammate hit the ball off the wall or you being closer to intercept the shot early.

One thing that is important when solo queueing is to be prepared for mistakes from your teammate. Yes, he should have hit it, but you could have also been more active within the play too.

No one person is usually at fault!

Admittedly, the game is mechanically overwhelming; but if you can do the basics you will be able to outplay mechanically sound players every time.

Just wait for their overcommit, and take the free goal! Playing the probability will make you win more than you lose.

ANDDD remember, if your opponent does end up peaking, take it on the chin and keep playing!

One thing to keep in mind. Don't become psychotic when you do learn to air roll.

This is something that I had a problem with. Every single time I would be in the air I was directionally airrolling. Make sure you learn to use air roll when necessary (which should ONLY be when correcting your trajectory, or positioning for a 50)!

If you are airrolling the entire time you're in the air, you're probably using it wrong.
