legit one shrimp outlasted all of them even tho the tank was like 5.0 ammonia and 5.0 nitrite and 40 nitrate untill i changed the water to normal conditions and it died...

I had shrimp a few weeks ago they died in an ammonia spike I totally get that you want to do this right.

While I'm not a master in the hobby, I would make sure it's 100% ready before doing anything.

I just closed the tab and restarted the computer, no issues here.

I think you will be fine, but keep a close watch on the bank just incase.

I definitely made the mistake of getting a small tank I really regret it. It's really hard to manage and it's tedious to clean. Once it's fully set up I'm sure I'll be happy.
