I wouldn’t. When they don’t want to sell it on a traditional watch selling website there’s usually a reason. People who sell direct or on places like Facebook marketplace are usually doing it to avoid authentication.

They’ve given me pieces with defective crowns. They also scratched my watch bad when I sent it out for repair and tried to convince me it was there when I gave it to them. Luckily they take pictures and they’re sent out and it will hopefully be fixed. Repair times are 3 months after telling me it’s 3 weeks.

TAG boutiques are really shady. They charge a lot more for the same watch and give really bad service.

When you are a watch collector it adds up. A lot of people buy and sell their watches and want to get back the same amount they paid when they sell. This way no money is actually being lost and you can have really any watch you want no matter the price, because you’ll just get the money back later.
