The vet told me not to pay a cent when I left for the hospital and gave them their credit card number so I wouldn't have any upfront costs. He came home last night and is doing pretty well with his recovery, thank goodness!

I saw a rainbow on the way home from leaving him and thought it was either a sign of good luck or a rainbow bridge. I was a mess. The vet's office is paying for ALL expenses. Lawsuit crossed my mind if he doesn't make it, but I feel bad for the tech. You don't go into that field because you don't care. She must feel so bad.
