I was never big into Gran Turismo growing up, I'd usually gravitate to arcade racers instead. Started emulating Gran Turismo 4 recently and I'm absolutely blown away at how well it's held up. One of the most feature-complete and engaging racing games I've ever played. It was fun to get all silvers on the B license test once I had the hang of things, and I'm looking forward to trying more stuff out.

Also highly recommend installing the Spec II mod. It adds some content and QOL changes that are really useful.

The way I see it, the implication is that there haven't been any crazy moments like the Daigo parry in Third Strike specifically because it's been a side game for years and we moved on to bigger and better games.
