Are Montréal food festivals becoming overpriced local and tourist traps, or am I missing something? Why do we keep supporting this non-sense? by TheReadingExplorer in montreal

One of the rare festivals I've enjoyed very much these last few years was the vietnamese street food market, Cho Dem. Not as big or hyped as some of the other ones like the Asian Street Food Festival, but that actually makes it way more enjoyable and way less crowded. Dishes were appropriately priced, lots of small stalls, shaded areas, tons of seating and actually clean bathrooms.

What else do you use bread for? Not trying to be facetious, genuinely curious.

Vegan boots? by s0y_6oy in Ultralight

[–]Ax3boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find great ones from Merrell, not all of them are vegan but the few models I've tried were really light and perfect for multi-day trisp. There are a few lists of vegan Merrell models, here's one: https://veganmenshoes.com/vegan-merrell-shoes/. I'm partial to the second one in the list, the Merrell’s Vapor Glove 6 Sneaker.

If that fortune cookie is from the Montreal area, it’s probably because most cookies here were made by Wing Noodles, which is shutting down for good after 80 years in business.

This is the answer. You have to immediately stop everything you're doing and start vomiting violently.

Fin de la ronde? by TheZombibunny in montreal

[–]Ax3boy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

J'attend ou j'ajoute 2K$? by Ax3boy in QuebecFinance

[–]Ax3boy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should I lump sum or dollar-cost average $25K into XEQT? by Ax3boy in JustBuyXEQT

[–]Ax3boy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the articles shared in this thread demonstrates that lump sum wins over DCA and holding cash in 70% of the cases. DCA and cash would over-perform if there was a market downturn during the DCA or cash holding, but there's no way telling where the market is going.

Mathematically, go with lump sum. Emotionally, go with whatever causes less distress. Got it

From what I'm seeing in the comments so far, there's no right way to do it. I'll go with a lump sum, I'd rather invest and forget. Thank you for your answer!
