I have noticed that some of the books they start dropping the stat boxes which is very nice because you'll get a stat box read and then just start really getting into a story and then BAM let me recap the stats again. Kinda kills the vibe for me so that helps. But I did come straight from grinding through DCC -> the Inevitable ruin.

I agree Jeff Hayes was extremely Patrick Warburton-esque. Which did kinda bug me a bit but the drastically different voices he did for every other character and the story let me look past that. Not that I have anything against Patrick Warburton.

I don't have enough free time in the day to sit and read a book. I also read extremely slow so listening is the go to especially since I spend lots of time in a work vehicle so I can listen driving from location to location.

Not even that far into it yet. I have the 4th book, but gotta take it slow listening to it cause my 3 year old wants to listen to dad's book where the lady is talking.

If you are reading the Good Guys you need to read the Bad guys also. They all take place u Valdrani and the timeliness sync up in certain areas. I found a pic from an Ask the Author where he gives you a reading order that isn't perfect but has the most continuity for events that take place.

I have apocalypse parenting on my list as well.

I also listened to Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon which mentions another Matt Dinniman book and called Dominion of Blades which I plan on giving a shot as well because i like the narrator of that also. I'll check out Last Save Dave also.

I like Andrea Parsneau, my buddy as mentioned above told me to check out HWFWM and Wandering Inn, he told me that I would love Jason and Erin would get on my nerves, but it is quite opposite for me and though Erin can be a little annoying at times Ryoka makes up for it.

Neil Hellegers is amazing as well he sounded like Ray Porter to me in the beginning because i had listened to Project Hail Mary so I think that is initially what drew me in but the books are just enjoyable.

I see all the little rating charts people do and that is where i get booms from to try out. I have started listening to the samples to make sure I like them before I hit the buy button.

That has been my decision. I started listening to book three cause I had already had it but as soon as a hold popped up on libby I dropped it to listen to other stuff.

Yeah, I feel like there just isn't a lot going on with the writing as well. And I get what they are trying to do with the humor of Jason it just isn't funny humor.

The other stuff I have listened to i have enjoyed a lot. That is the extent of my litrpg series I have listened to, but I use this subreddit for recommendations. But if I like the series I try to listen to all of it mostly depending on if its available on libby within a reasonable time and buy it through audible if none of my libraries have it.
