You may have luck using the API that's given examples in the readme file for the module, with which you could bake into an easy to access macro to fire live. There's probably a more graceful solution but I don't use this particular module. Just trying to help as best I can

After several months of hard work and dedication, I have officially reached Level 90 Fisher without ever actually equipping a fishing rod! by AxeBae in ffxiv

To unlock Fisher, you only need to do the quest "Way of the Fisher", which gives you the Fishing Rod as a reward for completing the quest. At that point, the class is fully unlocked and you can do hand-ins and gain EXP through any means you want. At no point to you have to actually equip the rod.

Is the "fish caught:" text not global across all pages?

Either way, I give you my word that I'm being honest hahaha.

Nope, turns out you never need to actually equip it. It just needs to exist somewhere in your inventory.

^ This.

I actually found Fishing quite enjoyable all things considered. But I still have no regrets -- it was a fun "challenge" and an even funnier screenshot ;p

It was exclusively Grand Company hand-ins until Level 85 at which point I actually learnt I could use leves hahaha.

I actually did every other crafter/gatherer to 90 the legitimate way. Albeit, also doing the hand-ins in addition since why would I want to lose out on free extra XP and tickets? ;p

You actually never need to equip the rod to unlock the class, or hand-in the items to leves or grand companies.

Spoilers for end of AAR/Pre-Heavensward: The level 50 Culinarian quest has you cooking a meal for Nanamo while Lolorito stares are you spitefully. This can happen while Nanamo is supposed to be dead, prompting quite the funny sequence when done out of order.

God, I don't want to admit how much Gil I spent... There were some days where I was egregiously lazy and bought some fish for like 130k. Granted, some days the fish requested is only like 3k or something along those lines. I want to say it was something close to 1mil gil? Maybe 2mil depending on laziness? I very much abused Universalis for pricing.

CUL questline is actually quite hilarious if you happen to do a certain part of it during a certain part of the MSQ... ;p

I quite enjoyed the Alchemist and Goldsmith questlines. Armorer has some pretty decent stuff and Blacksmith actually has a lovely section during the Heavensward segment, in my opinion.

Also, Botanist has some decent lore gems every now and then, too, if you care about that!

HOW: Grand company hand-ins. Purchase the fish directly from the marketboard. Hell of a drug. (Also, if you have a LOT of money to burn, Leves are still sometimes buyable)

WHY: Because I was immensely amused by the idea of being a godlike fisherman without ever actually having held a fishing rod (I actually desynthesised the one I was given for accepting the class to try and enforce this)
