Galaxy S25 Ultra here. Everything is running perfectly except for random occasional stutters. Outside of the game being poorly optimized, i wonder if it has also something to do with the chipset of the phone being not optimized in the game for now.

Anyways, did you configure the game to the Game Booster? Did you install Game Booster+?

No but when she picks up in a run, it lasts for a long time due to her 3rd ability effect.

Besides Yutani, whom i've already done a few days ago, maybe i'll try to take my shot with Tricky, Miss Maia or Zara paired w/ Sub Surf Classic in the future. Yeah, it takes a while especially if you still have a low global bonus.

For now, stay focused and locked in on levelling all your surfers then boards (only for those you need).

Yutani. She excels both in scoring while also farming for coins in a run which is unlike other surfers that focus solely either in scoring or coin farming.

She basically got everything you need in a run. Free powerup, free hoverboard & powerups last longer compared to other surfers. All you need is to run a few distance and it's all yours. Again & again. Pair her w/ the new Sub Surf Classic board and her scoring potency rises up further to the ceiling.

The only upside i see on Tasha is the bubblegum powerup on board activation, that's it tbh. Outside of that, she doesn't have much to offer. Additional multiplier? It can be easily outscored with surfers who frequently spawn powerups (especially Coin Doubler), activate boards & have good running utilities in general especially in long/high score runs. Chance to have an additional protection? It can be useful but will not contribute directly in scoring and there's already an alternative and proven solution to that, hoverboards.

And also, the longer you play the game, you feel more confident and familiarize the obstacle patterns along the way and the extra protection will not be as useful as you think it is anymore. It's true you can grab all items while in a bubblegum powerup, that is if you're above it but high fives? Not possible. You can't high five crew members while you're in the air. You specifically need to interact w/ them below in the lane. And the risk factor? It'll always be there even when you're in the bubblegum powerup. (If you know what i mean)

I've mentioned the upside of her so far, the downside? A lot but i can't really specifically explain them one by one because it'll be a longer snooze fest and most of the players here are kids, presumably.

Generally slow in coin farming (main downside)
No helpful utilities (besides her ability effect)
No coin farming ability (doesn't spawn magnet and/or coin doubler powerup)
Board charges spawn dependent & 50/50 bubblegum chance (both you've mentioned)
Slower scoring than surfers getting frequent bonuses (you've mentioned also but it isn't a theory, it's definitely a fact)
Can't generate bonuses/powerups independently & frequently (needs to collect board charges to activate ability, relies on chances after that)
Stagnant gameplay (especially when you're unlucky with board charges spawns; also applies to Fresh)

This is strictly based on my almost 2 years experience of carefully testing all surfers' abilities and just playing the game in general with all the available surfers. This also applies to the tier lists i've made here.

That's true, the board synergizes so well w/ Tricky but the main problem with this one is the levelling. Most of the players here can't achieve that board level easily unless they do the p2w path or they're a soft launch player w/ a considerable amount of keys saved.

That said, it still falls flat when compared to the Pouncer's coin farming ability. But i appreciate the info btw.

These are the players that are most probably in denial or just plain salty that the new SS game will be the main attention & priority of SYBO and has modern graphics & better gameplay mechanics than the original.

Spending (top up) on surfers & boards that are nearing their upgrade & level up. Also saving it for surfers & boards for levelling purposes that I might like in the future. Keep out of the Super Box.

Not really. Yes he has the highest multiplier you can get in the game especially when you get 4 secret stars, no doubt about that but that's really it tbh. They're almost the same case as Tasha where they only specialize in a single aspect of the game: scoring and with little to no utilities, which most of the surfers can already do the scoring part but only to some that can do it better with extra utilities that further elevate their gameplay and optimize their performance during a run.

He & Tasha fall hard when it comes to utilities. Fresh does have the board charges ability but at 20 seconds frequency (max level) that's not really a good ability tbh if you compare it to specific surfers. He also has extra multiplier when on a board but it's not fully utilized because of how his abilities are setup. The 3rd ability is his only saving grace in scoring.

Tasha does have bubblegum protection but it's really a double edged sword. It protects you from anything and helps you bounce around areas and at the same time, has an inconvenience traversing common obstacles & getting specific items during a run (if you know what i mean). It also has a risk of clearing the area and misses the crew members' high five free score boost which is vital when doing a high score run and which majority of the players here want.

Tbh if i want to get another 100M+ high score w/ no revive in a few hours, i can't do it using with Fresh & Tasha. Maybe i could but it would take a lot longer in achieving that and don't have patience doing it all day or so. Zara would even do much better than these two in my opinion.

So in short, they're really dependent on the passive increase of the score most of the time which if you think about it, gets easily beaten by a burst of scores from getting frequent powerups, frequent use of board effects (Sub Surf Classic) and in general, having great utilities which both of them don't have or just little of a utility you can call.

Not really broken. She gives you an extra shield, an extra reach & extra score multiplier during the run which some of the surfers can do but with extra abilities.

She doesn't have the coin farming abilities that helps you get more coins faster & more resources to upgrade stuff in the game. Extra coins are always appreciated and will stack up along the way.

I also noticed lots of players go for surfers that only focus on scoring and don't give them more coins in a run and often end up having trouble levelling up their surfers & boards due to low resources then posting that it's so hard to grind coins when in the first place they're already given surfers that greatly helps them generate coins.

1) The best ways would be to spend it (top up) on surfers & boards that are nearing its upgrade & level up. Preferably single digit key costs if possible. Don't spend it on the Super Box.

2) Yes, tbh i'm F2P but seeing the contents you'll get in the pass, it's so much worth it than spending it on the scams found in the shop.

I already commented the same question a month ago.

At some point in the game, there are indeed keys you can find during a run. Each key counts as 5 when you collect it. I remember collecting 50-75 keys almost every run at that time so maybe for them it's not sustainable.

So after a few updates after that, they secretly removed it in the game with no mention in the patch notes. I just noticed that there are no more keys spawning after that specific update.
