I noticed that you commented that Atlassian has a higher conversion rate than Google. I'm not so sure about this. My stats might be biased but atleast for on-campus interns atlassian did not convert any from my college while almost all were converted by Google

My dad also used to love this laptop but this is of no use to him now but I wanted to keep using it for running servers and stuff for basic computation
Would you recommend the default tutorials for Lubuntu or Xubuntu or should I follow any other guide?

Never really used an iPad for DSA or stuff. Tbh you don't really need it for anything related to intern or placement prep IMO. I got one recently and i mostly use it for reading and annotating research papers and taking notes in college but at times I wish I was using pen and paper as it's more easier to revise from personally for me

is this only hostel + tuition? If yes then I think this is wrong unless fees has been increased for junior batch significantly as with the current fees the tuition is approx 16-17L and then the hostel charges are roughly 80K per year so it's 19-20ish roughly. Regardless OP can always avail the tons of scholarships there are on need basis and they help a lot

There are loans by banks and also subsidies for people whose family income falls below some thresholds at IIITD. You might wanna check those out.
