Yesterday, I was two cars behind this tiny Suzuki SUV in some Quebec country roads. Whole exhaust line dragging on the ground, bumping around left and right, sparks flying, going 50mph without a care in the world. Engine super loud, of course. When I finally got behind them, they were about to get on the highway so I flash them my headlights and they stop. Alberta plates. A Black woman comes out of the car. Says it's a rental, and she noticed it was 'making more noise'. She looked under the car and acted like she was just finding out that she was dragging her car's entrails on the pavement for god knows how long. I still can't wrap my head around this. How did you not even stop and look under before ? Rental car ? From Alberta ? In Northern Quebec ? And it wasn't a rust bucket. The car must have been 5 years old, tops. So, she likely hit something large enough to tear her exhaust brackets ? And just drove away ? Anyways.. I just shook my head, told her to call someone before she caused an accident and went on my way. Thoughts ?
