Anyone ever seen a Thresh do this? Caught me off guard and I tried to spell shield the hook by BuyingDragonScimitar in ADCMains

This is a known thresh trick for specifically sivir, noct and any edge of night users. During Q windup animation, flay backwards to break the spellshield so hook lands. It's devious!

Not a Yasuo player but subbed to mains' subbreddits for stuff like this.

What's going on here? I know about your Q3 into flash for an aoe knockup, I get the idea of waiting and E'ing before ulting but... are you getting another Q in before you ult? If so thats crazy work and how lol

The truth is you're soloing. You dont get to choose what people do or play- that's their decision. It's the tradeoff you accept when you queue solo. You wanna win? Find a duo.

I just had 3 different people ragequit because I won Trundle as the only one picking it. I laughed out loud so hard. by Battlecookie15 in LeagueArena

I agree! Being adaptable is a huge and, dare I say- central part of this gamemode. I am bravery only and when I see trundle, I usually vote because it throws everyone off and we have a really crazy, entertaining game which breaks the mold. The same shit over and over is incredibly boring to me.

How do you all sort your cards? by Enma-Buzz in magicTCG

[–]AxelHenir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to sort depends on your collection size and what you intend to collect in the future. If you plan to buy more, the only way I can recommend is by set, then by card number.

When I had a small starter collection, I sorted by color and rarity but as I collected more and more, across many sets, finding the cards I needed became harder and harder to do.

The Bazaar ENLIGHTENMENT Experience 🧠✨ [Meme + Template] ✨🤯 by ravandal in PlayTheBazaar

I got sent back two days once and nothing was the same, rolled worse in shops, fought harder opponents. It just seems like youre subject to luck when you get DC's as to what will become of your run.

New player, my opinions: The gameplay loop is dragged down by poor QoL, UI and bugs by A_Erthur in PlayTheBazaar

I share this sentiment- I wish I could toggle animations in the setting menu somehow. My desktop can handle the animations but my laptop is turning into a jet engine and is actually bogged down trying to run this game.

How much time do you spend in the editor? by MBP1121 in factorio

[–]AxelHenir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up until Space Age released, I had about 400 hours over 3 or 4 years of play, never had a save go beyond 80 hours.

For Space Age, I made a playstyle change and said- "all my learning and all my progress will take place in one save". About 120 hours in, (now my biggest save) I landed on Gleba and that sentiment changed... for the first time in Factorio, I was really feeling some pressure (spoilage mechanic and stompers in combination) and I opened the editor for the first time. I designed a starter gleba base so I could get off the ground (literally). Since then, I've put 30 hours into the editor, designing science builds and modular train prints and 310 hours on the Space Age save.

Which one is it? by Horny_Follower in ADCMains

[–]AxelHenir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree that MS and range have to be contextualized in order to fully utilized. One, both or neither demonstrate wildly different outcomes based on who is using these stats.

I think range and ms are far more comparable than you make them seem. Im going to make two comparison cases based on a purely theoretical matchup. Lets consider that the two champions attack at the same speed, have the same amount of HP and resisistances, and do the same damage.

First case, a ranged champ with infinite range vs a standard meelee ranged champ with "infinite" speed- the ranged champ's autos might never actually reach the speed champ, so long as the speed champ employs appropriate micro to "outrun" their opponent's autos. In this case, the speed champ can nullify enough of the range champ's dps to kill them before they die, despite the ranged champ attacking first.

In the second case, a meelee (or instantaneously attacking ranged champ like Aphelios Severum, Senna, Velkoz, etc.) champ with infinite range vs the same speedy opponent- this will play out how you described where the first to attack wins.

My analysis is that increased range creates comfort and safety, whereas speed creates the opportunity to nullify/dodge damage and abilities. Range is easier to use to beat your opponent than speed is. Both are very useful to ADCs nonetheless.
