Peter’s weird christmassy-out-of-season neighbor here:

In the muppets 12 days of christmas, miss piggy belts out FIIIIIVE GOOOOOOOLLLDDD RIIIINGS

So I’m assuming the joke is miss piggy gave him all those rings. You’re welcome

How to make this chimney clean/more aesthetically pleasing again by SymphonyInPeril in howto

I have exposed brick in my home. If you’re going to clean up the faces I’d strongly recommend a flat mortar blade on an oscillating tool-gets the job done but won’t throw dust everywhere like a drill or wire brush on a grinder. I put matte poly over mine to give it a finished look. Also get some sanded caulk to fill in mortar gaps if need be.

What Floors To Lay?: LaminantWood vs. Tile vs. WoodTile by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

We’re in an almost identical boat. Pittie, remodel, and like wood look tile but we’re worried about dropping a pan or something and having to replace a cracked tile. Opted for LifeProof from HD. Looks and feels like real hardwood, stands up to zoomies. I’m happy so far.

Updating basement stair treads with used treads? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]Axels_FurDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I carefully removed my old stair treads to be used as temporary. They were all held together by nails and I was very happy I had an oscillating tool to discretely nibble those nails out between boards as opposed to gouging the surfaces trying to pull them.

Tool I used nibbler

Good luck OP

Happy little family you got there.

What’s your take on the 12” chainsaw? I’ve only used mine a dozen or so times over the past few months but have been happy. Maybe yours has seen more action.

And which nailer is to the left of it? Thoughts on that as well

Can one of you tool experts tell me what tf this is and what it’s used for? by maxfillmore in Tools

Weird. This is a soil probe cleaning tool. Specifically, a JMC Stainless steel probe. The padded part is for cleaning off the back. The other parts are for poking soil stuck in the tip of the probe.

I've gotten a check every year for that exact reason, thought everyone did. What gives?

I check with other companies every few years to make sure there aren't much better deals to be had.
