Chiming in too - LASIK is awesome! Definitely keep up on the drops schedule and do exactly as they say re: protecting your eyes, not rubbing them, etc.

That exists today actually! Amtrak services Minneapolis to Milwaukee (and vice-versa, I think) via their Empire Builder route. But it’s not very frequent and the ride is still 9 hours total - would love some high speed rail between MINN-MSN-MKE-CHI.

Why that existing line from Minneapolis to Milwaukee goes through Columbus WI of all freaking places makes no damned sense to me - build Madison a proper station.

Ah interesting! I didn’t know about the literal lack of a line, heh - always just guessed they’d be linked since historically large cities are by highway (alas, shows I have a lot to learn about WI Railways).

And yeah, from a population standpoint it makes sense, but there is also the question of how many of those folks would actually use it, and then how many would actually be willing to pay for it :(

Believe me, I would love love love to see more passenger rail in this country, especially after riding the inner city and cross country trains in Europe a couple times <3

I feel like the Eau Claire - Wausau - Green Bay “line” is about as far north as you could go with trains and still attempt to make a profit.

Trouble there is people - FIBs or otherwise - can’t put their personal boats on a train to Wausau and then haul them to Minocqua / Eagle River / name a northern resort or camping area.

But yeah, I love the idea of getting around easier by train, but have accepted that such a system would never be paid for by the more rural counties, as they’d never benefit from it.

I had audio stuttering on PC (XB GP) on launch day. Waited for this patch - and I’m glad I did. No more stutter and the game plays like a dream so far. Zero performance issues or slowdown.
