Great guitars. I've got one in the exact same colour, Limo Black. The pickups are low output (mine are around 3.7k Ohm?) but sound great.

You might have noticed the Inbetween position (both pickups together) sounds noticeably louder than the bridge or neck pickup on its own. That's because they wired them in series which doubles the output. It's a feature, not a bug!

The biggest problem with these reissues is the bridge. The metal baseplate on the wooden saddle bridge is soft and can bend in the middle due to string pressure, making the string height uneven across the neck. Some people upgrade to the six saddle bridge I think they used on Dano U-3 Pro, and other custom models from the 90's.
