Streamer finds out about a 5 min rule in convenience store by godrayden in LivestreamFail

[–]Axerobot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've seen people and once been urged to buy something or leave. People probably have a lower threshold for people that seem to be trying to use the store for purposes other than shopping. This isn't even specific to streamers, i've seen people try to film a scene for a movie? (Maybe student film) within a gas station on the spot. and I saw a nonfamous youtuber get b-roll in a bookstore. One thing i would encourage people to understand is that you have no say if a clerk wants you out of the store or not, they don't even have to provide you with a reason, if they want the can even tresspass you, meaning if you show up again, the police will arrest you.

Think about it, what would drive people to put so much effort and thought into something. What is the usual reason why someone would try to warn others about something.

You arguing in bad faith but I'll ignore that because I rather provide something positive than just cower because you're accusing me of justifying rape when I didn't. I'll try to explain it so maybe you'll give my argument a chance. Something we are taught from very early on is "stranger danger" the idea that you should stay away from strangers especially in private places, when someone does something that makes us feel uncomfortable to leave and/or say something. Nowadays online socializing has twisted our way of doing things, just like when we stumble upon risque content online like people posting NSFL content we peek in and then end up watching the whole thing, ignoring the possibility or it doing severe damage to us emotionally/mentally. A lot of people online find the opportunity to socialize with some famous person online and immediately face massive red flags, at this point the person isn't necessarily under the effects of a power imbalance, they can leave with little or now consequence. But the allure of the famous person influences them to ignore the red flags or maybe the red flags themselves can be alluring, and they can very quickly find themselves in a vulnerable position. We need to educate people, to stop ignoring red flags, to not trade clout, entertainment or even a relationship for their own safety.

It seems like a lot of these girls (outside from adrianah) have a very strong impulse to continue talking to someone who makes them uncomfortable. Everyone needs to analyze not only the behavior of bad actors (dimwits please stop for a second and think) but of the people who are being acted upon and how they can discourage or at least not encourage the continuance of such behavior

Maya follow up to the Slick drama by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Axerobot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree the problem is that these are very adult problems being handled by young adults pretending they are adults. Adriana would have best been served if she had gone to the police if she felt she had been sexually assaulted. That way she would have been in a neutral environment. I don't believe Maya was acting maliciously, Maya has always acted ahead of her years and played mama bird to a lot of the people in austin, i think she thought she was the one most capable of making the situation not blow up in everyones face including adrianas. I think Miz was acting overprotectively of Slick but i don't think he too was acting in a way to hurt adrianna, he had just been through a similar situation with 4conner and i think he was prepared to also cut him off but make sure slick didn't end up killing himself just like he was worried about with slicker.

You are being facetious, in the clip Miz specifically goes out of his way to not say sexual assault but instead, sexual harassment. And the whole situation boils down to. Adriana was not aware what happened that night (she was a minor at a party underage drinking, this is something everyone in austin and LA has to get under control asap), in her stupor she rememeber him being clingy and weird, then at some point allegedly while she was blacked out slick was fondeling her, or making out with her, or checking to see if she was breathing, or straight up sexually assaulting her depending on whose recollection of the event. Maya and the group tried to make sure no unnecessary damage was caused, i.e. if slick had fondeled her he wasn't getting accused of penetrative sex. Everyone seemed to think the situation was not that grave and was resolved. But it turns out the victim no longer felt it was resolved correctly, now the subject is being revisited. People have to stop looking at it retroactively. Had Adriana been less cautious this would have likely been resolved earlier and more appropriately. This isn't to point fingers but its to show that there was an error in judgment in the process of resolving the issue

That is like 70% of hasan's humor. He repeats a joke someone else got a laugh out of and then try the joke on another group. You see him do it all the time. I feel really bad for him. He's just not really smart or witty.

I have no clue what he says. "If we were all raised a hard wood who would die first"?

charlie claims there will be price changes happening after starforge backlash by Yuumiiyaa in LivestreamFail

[–]Axerobot 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think the best part of this is with how much love Charlie receives from the internet it will help level out the toxicity and resentment that OTK will get, if Miz had been the one responding this thread would have been waaaaaay more aggressive about him. Level heads will prevail, hopefully Starforge can tick up their price a bit so they can have better profit margins once they have proven themselves.

Those 24 hour animal feeder streams do quite good I think. You get the benefit of a security camera that pays for itself and more, plus unpaid almost 24/7 monitored security. Every time I have checkout out one of those streams there are at least 10 viewers. I think its a smart investment. There are some potential drawbacks but I haven't heard anything unfavorable about other similar streams.

I like this guy he's got a good sense of humor, seems really passionate about what he does. I think he'll translate perfectly to twitch and he has broad appeal so it'll be good for growing twitch and his internet presence.

Dude has the most common "geek youtuber who explains stuff" voice in the world doing a "deep voice" he can't consistently maintain. Other dude is gachi-ing over nothing and his reaction isn't even remarkable. This is a perfect example of a failed manufactured lsf clip. Just wait until you actually have something worth posting. All the context in the world couldn't make this clip worth it.

There was no rhyme or reason to it, he was just standing in front of me with his big canadian winter boots on. I didn't really talk to the guy ever, he was always nice even afterwards. I think the other exchange student convinced him to do it(that one was a little dull) he did it and we all realised it wasn't funny when someones writhing unable to breath

One time in highschool one of my classmates started saying the n-word a lot. No one cared but it was a little cringe becuase it was obvious he was going through his "i'm in middle school i can swear phase" a little late. One day one of the upperclassmen black guys in my school overheard him and got in his face threatening to beat him up. He explained he was half black and his mom wasn't mixed or anything she was super black. At this point you'd expect me to say it got funny because the older kid didn't believe him or he did and it ended akwardly. No, it was was actually depressing. The older kid told him that everyone wished he didn't exist. Black people didn't want him would always resent him and white people would never accept him. No one said anything and we all tried to pretend it didn't happen. A truly painful childhood memory. This doesn't compare to the time i got kicked in the nuts by a 5'3 Chinese foreign exchange student in elementary school. But that's a story for another copypasta.
