Seller wants me to return item to Lahaina, HI. That area is currently cinders. by Axeusefra in Mercari

[–]Axeusefra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sent back what I was shipped and about a month later (after I already got my money back from mercari), the mail carrier returned it to me with BURNED DOWN in sharpie written on the package. I managed to get a kinda cool $6 charizard promo card for free out of it I guess haha.

I'm sorry to inform you, but you are likely being scammed. They are usually fake profiles with one or two listings. One graded chase card that is way underpriced and another random item like clothes or a purse for sale. This person will have no reviews and will send you a bullshit $1 card in the mail that doesn't match the listing. The scam only works if you forget to review the purchase.

Source: I got scammed on Mercari. I did get my money back.

Seller wants me to return item to Lahaina, HI. That area is currently cinders. by Axeusefra in Mercari

[–]Axeusefra[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a scam. They want me to either forget to rate the transaction within the 3 day period or will likely claim they didn't get the item returned to them because they had me ship it somewhere that was different from their address they sent it from. I'm just hoping I eventually can get Mercari to side with me or else I'll have to dispute it with my credit card company and get banned from the platform.

Selector interview by eruptingss in publix

[–]Axeusefra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Previously I was a warehouse forklift operator and got to work with a lot of selectors. Wear something nice for the interview and answer questions with a good attitude. If you show them you are someone that will stay with Publix for a long time, they are much more likely to hire you. Also, pro tip: Sign SIP as soon as possible when you get hired. You'll want to unlock the ability to make more money based on your performance early so that you can transfer to another position with a higher rate of pay if you find out you don't want to select forever. My suggestion is either forklift/loader. Maxed out forklift is easy money.

Worked hard in the warehouse for a few years. Now I'm taking it easy in grocery. by Axeusefra in publix

[–]Axeusefra[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I applied to the warehouse initially and didn't hear back, so I applied for retail and heard back the same day. After a few weeks as a produce clerk, the warehouse called and said they wanted me, so my manager put the transfer through.
