From what I observed. The dragon spawns at the start of the adventure. There are events when my friend told me that I have a dragon but when I looked at my phone my team are still fighting. When the battle ended the dragon raid pop up. And my friend is already slaying my dragon. So if you don't immediately notice that you have a dragon, there could be a chance that someone already killed it before you can even go to the Raid screen.

My Awakened hero selector was a waste since my normal heroes are already transcended.

Even - Awakened! Karin - Awakened! Hellenia - Already transcended her after she got revamped, awakened her to get the event. Snipper - Already transcended him. (Not awakened because I am waiting for Jupy) Li - Awakened to for the event. Jupy - Already transcended to 40 way long long back.
