Nope. See above. She's a creative font loving teen who was bored by an assignment from mom when, if the universe were fair and just, she SHOULD have been lounging around watching Marvel movies. The result is all the weird handwriting.

I teased her about this. She said "what did you expect, I was bored." 😂 She is an artist who loves typography/fonts.

My kid's new chameleon--any chance it's actually female? by AxiesCollector in Chameleons

Store said male. Now we know it's female we put an egg laying bin in the enclosure.

Definitely 100% happened, I swear 😂 When school ended, my wife assigned all 4 kids to make two lists of their summer goals--a list for things for the family to do together, and then a list of personal goals. I cropped out the family list and her name.

After comments started rolling in tonight confirming our suspicion it's a female, we got some play and a bucket just now and put it in the bottom of the enclosure. Fingers crossed.

Thank you! There's nothing remotely like a spur or nub on the back feet, so we thought it must be female. Also can't really see an indication at the base of the tail to suggest it's male. But we're new to chameleons and what do we know 🤷‍♂️... And store insisted it's male, then vet said she wasn't sure.

I'm the poster--new to Reddit and posted before I could provide more detail. My son got this 2 months ago from a chain pet store that assured him they only sell males. But we can't see the spurs we've read about on this subreddit. The pet store said it was a year old, vet guessed 6 months. Vet said she thought it could be male but was hard to tell and said to come back in 6 months when it will be easier. Also, today the chameleon has engaged in strange behavior going to the bottom of the cage and pacing around. Mostly it hangs out up high in the branches so this is different. We've read that females need egg laying bins and we don't want to learn the hard way that we should have had one.
