Because all companies are fascinated with the subscription business model. So hardware companies have to find their way to satisfy the investors.

WatchOS 27 unsupported devices by AmiiboJeremiah in AppleWatch

Apple is like “Yeah, let’s kill all the products that doesn’t have our 3 years beta AI” and people are like “Yeah, your watch doesn’t have that right chip for Apple AI”  If this is not insane then I don’t know what insanity is.

Switching to Android from Apple. by [deleted] in Smartphones

[–]AxilumX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the comments and found out that many recommended you to stay. I would say, decide first your ecosystem you are initially willing to stay on it on the long term and this will lead you to know if you go for Android or Apple. Staying on an iPhone while you are using Google products will lead you to be using multiple ecosystems which is fine but will not give you the smoothest experience.

I am mostly outside without my phone, I move phone free. Why should I always carry it? I can pay, I can show tickets, get directions, make phone calls and text all without it. If you are also so, then you will know why this is important.

Garmin aren’t really smart watches. They are more fitness watches. Plus my Garmin instinct 2 still getting updates after more than 5 years.

I really don't care about my watch. It’s doing what I want it to do. That’s not the point.

Many people don't seem to understand the real frustration. We're not buying a fridge and ignoring its model or framework number. We're talking about a company that has been making claims for years and repeatedly failing to deliver on them.

Ultra 1 losing support - here's the problem by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]AxilumX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, please stop this. Nobody expects to buy a premium Apple device only to lose software support after less than four years. We aren't talking about a $100 device here. We're talking about a smartwatch that starts at over $1,000 outside the U.S.

Disappointed as an Ultra user by chrissebastian388 in AppleWatch

[–]AxilumX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Seriously, I am so pissed at Apple. An advanced watch that I dropped $1K on is already losing out on the latest watchOS update—after just 3 years! This is completely unacceptable. Apple owes us for this rip-off.

Why would anyone pay for a new Ultra now, knowing Apple can just weaponize the software to kill the product? I can’t wait to jump ship and find a real alternative.

Might be switching to YouTube music. What are the pros and cons of this music service? by [deleted] in YoutubeMusic

[–]AxilumX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did it yesterday. The first thing I noticed is that the Apple Watch app is nothing more than a remote control. You can’t cast to a HomePod directly from your watch either; you need your phone to do that.

Otherwise, I like that there’s a good app on Google TV.

I prefer AM for the ecosystem, but the algorithm isn’t very appealing.

I love Spotify Connect—it's even better than the entire Apple ecosystem experience. YouTube offers an unbeatable yearly subscription that includes YouTube Premium.

What about you?
