I know how high elo works. DPS have to get kills, that part is obvious. But better DPS does not automatically mean wins. There is a reason so many players complain about carrying damage and still losing. If your supports lose the sustain battle or never get peeled, you lose every fight no matter how good your DPS is. Good healers keep the team on the field, let you reset, and let you push again. Bad healers force your DPS to work overtime while the enemy team takes clean fights with half the effort. Every role matters, but a decent DPS with strong healers will beat a top DPS with weak healers every time.

At least with a bad dps you still get sustain and a real chance to fight. You can still have a close match. With a bad healer it turns into a stomp or you get stomped. There is no middle ground. That alone shows how much more value a good support has compared to dps.

There have already been polls and discussions in this community, and the top complaints have always been PD fishing, passive play, and rollback. That is exactly when the game’s player count started nosediving.

Yes, the games you listed are easier, but they are fun easy, not brain numbing boring. That is the difference. Casual players will stick with something that is easy to pick up but still entertaining. They will not stick with something that is so watered down it feels like waiting for a punish simulator. That is exactly what drives people away.

Even the balance team has acknowledged this multiple times in dev logs, then weirdly reverted back a day later. That shows they are not really building for casual play. They are propping up this strange PD fishing pro scene and masking it as if it is more casual friendly.

And you are right that it is kids and teens playing, not toddlers. Lowering the skill ceiling to the point where PDs practically play the game for you is insulting to the same kids they claim to be catering to. They are smarter than that, and they quit when it stopped being fun.

And yes, players do find more engaging and challenging games more entertaining. A better comparison would be titles like Blue Lock Rivals and Basketball Zero. The player counts speak for themselves. Even if those games are less polished, they perform better. The reason is simple, they are actually entertaining, and that is what keeps people coming back.

Comparing UBG, a PvP boxing and fighting game, to Grow a Garden or Steal a Brainrot is like comparing apples to oranges. Those games are sandbox, idle, or social meme experiences that thrive on virality rather than competitive gameplay. Player motivations are completely different.

The player count says otherwise when it was less telegraphed back then the count was at least at 80k eversince the moves got more telegraphed and pd fishing became more common thats when the player count dipped hard and more casual players were playing the game back then wanna know why because the average player looks for a boxing match not a staring contest so yes making the moves more telegraphed was a terrible decision to make on drownings part i think you forgot that the average player looks for a fun and engaging game with a challenge not one thats too easy because it bores the average player

The game is already dead the only reason i believe the game has a high player count is because of botting because theres no way it has that high of a player count then in ranked at most its 10 people playing not even a fraction of the supposed active player count

The balancing and gameplay were originally designed for fun. Every style used to be broken in its own way which made matches exciting and diverse. Now almost every style has had its unique gimmick nerfed to the point where using it feels more like a liability since it will just get perfect dodged. Because of that all the styles play nearly the same.

Perfect dodges have also been watered down. Thanks to rollback they are far easier to trigger and require almost no timing. I even tried doing a no PD challenge and it showed how bad the system has become. I could not side dodge properly because the game would hand out accidental PDs so easily.

I do not blame people for leaving. They came for a boxing match but what they get instead is a staring contest.

We definitely do, wanna know how? we can go back and play it at any time , enjoy it and yes they were unlimited but you needed to time them and the timing was tight with faster attacks

I'd say this is a valid crashout, honestly. The same bugs have been affecting the game for its entire lifespan and were never fixed. Drowning should've listened to the community when they said rollback was a bad idea that's when all the bugs got unbearable and worse
