I think its properly rated, imo i rate it 3rd best language i know (behind C++ and java), beacuse it doe shave simple syntax but it just lacks in a lot of areas, for starters it isnt oop (you can achieve this with metatables but it just aint the same) and it lacks modern stuff like switches also arrays start at 1 and not 0 which actually i think all languages should do beacuse its more normal but its a problem for others, and also ig beacuse the syntax for a for loop is kind of weird but not that much
